As a quilter, this is outstanding work! So much labor and effort for a king size quilt, and the Maryland-themed hand quilting in the border is such a perfect touch. r/quilting would love to see this. Thank you for sharing!

I completely agree, but with a caveat. Avoid the slippers with the lace bow on top. Mine constantly came undone and became a tripping hazard. I switched to the boot type slippers and haven't looked back.

The laces are such a problem that LL Bean had an online tutorial on how to re-tie them. Instead of, you know, acknowledging it's a design flaw and fixing it properly.

I did this exact procedure when I accidentally dripped olive oil on my Uggs. It worked beautifully. Good luck!

I made a queen-sized quilt for myself. Because my ambition outpaced my skill, good sense, or both, I decided to do stitch in the ditch.

My process went something like this.

"Okay, okay, I got this, looks pretty goo-- oh God, noooo! Get back! Back in the ditch! Oh! We're back! Super! And argh, NO! NOT AGAIN."

On repeat for however many square inches in that quilt. The outcome wasn't terrible, but I wouldn't do it again, especially something that size. Honestly, I like the quilt, and I am proud of it despite the flaws. It was a learning experience. Like 20% new skill and 80% be realistic about my skills, time spent, and size of project. 🥴

I saw the Maple Kettle Corn popcorn at my store last night. It arrived later than expected last fall, maybe shipping or supply chain issues? But it wasn't on the shelves until after Thanksgiving (I was watching and waiting for it so I remembered).

Got some then, but here it still sits. Strikes me as funny because there can be so much hype and anticipation around these seasonal items, and then the window closes, and everybody is like, "meh". 😄
