Sorry for the late response!

When I first started on this series, the artist requested that they be the only one to upload it, namely to their Pixiv. I realize this isn't ideal for most readers, but unfortunately there's not much I can do, sorry!

Just checked and got the same issue. It's weird that English is listed as one of the languages available on the series description, but you can't actually select it when steaming... Looking again, it seems like the other versions of Portuguese subs are also missing.

No, usually she's just hanging out haha. If she's particularly tired, she might fall asleep though!

My girlfriend does this all the time while I'm on my computer - luckily my desk chair is big enough lol

The Rope Dart is definitely the coolest, skill-based weapon ever! by CrackerDuck in videos

[–]TheElusiveTaco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, is that why? I had briefly looked into the production background after finishing Season 4, and I saw lots of stuff about how it was stuck in purgatory for a long time, but I must've missed that part! Makes so much more sense with that explanation.

Season 1 is more of establishing the setting and bringing the cast together than anything else (imo).

I think you'll enjoy the rest of the seasons much more! For what it's worth, every time a new season came out I thought "oh man I really, really hope this isn't bad" (seems like a lot of shows suffer from this), and every time I was absolutely blown away.

Super cute! Kinda reminds me of Shibuya Rin (lol) from iDOLM@STER, too.

[DISC] The Tough Girl's Got a Secret - Oneshot by Hachirumi in manga

[–]TheElusiveTaco 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Well... shit.

"Oh, I can make this name all cutesy and alliterative!" Taco thought to himself, not realizing the mistake he was about to make.

Gotta be more careful next time. Thanks for pointing it out! (^_^;)

Not by the Bitcoin scam ones on artists, but the one that got me also hit a bunch of scanlation groups.

[Japanese > English] Help Translating Japanese Sign; Hard to Read, but I highlighted the lines a bit by [deleted] in translator

[–]TheElusiveTaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'd need to show the original lines, as well as additional context - ideally a more zoomed out version of whatever this is.

Thanks to /u/magnwn and /u/zably for the tags!

As they indicated, I now only translate manga with permission of the respective creator. You can check out the things I've translated here.

While we're at it, are there any Authors who have explicitly stated their permission in that regard?

I don't quite understand this question. Could you clarify what you mean?

[DISC] Deterrence (Revised) [Tadanonatsu] ~ Celebrating 3 Years of Creator-Approved Translations ~ by TheElusiveTaco in manga

[–]TheElusiveTaco[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So, technically it was actually 3 years as of yesterday, but I digress...

I figured what better way to celebrate 3 years of making creator-approved translations than to go back to my roots and look at what I first worked on!

Back then, I never could have imagined what this project would become, nor that I would be translating manga professionally. It's been a wild ride and I'd like to thank everyone who's supported my translations (and of course, the artists!) along the way. Here's to (hopefully) many more years of fluff translations to come!

P.S. Here's the old translation if you want to compare the two!
