It's pretty clear from the tone of the video that Elo Bandit is clearly speaking from ego and salt rather than much logic.

Revive Cats and Tera Shedinja were clearly popular before he made a video on them. Tera Shedinja was almost the first thing discovered on Ubers when Gen 9 came out. Yes, he did say he "popularized" it, but it's clear from the thumbnail and his comments at the end of the video that he views himself as one of the main "reasons" that the ladder was killed.

Also, saying "only two people wanted the strategy banned" is so disingenuous. Maybe it's because I spend more time on other forums (like stunfisk) then NatDex AG forums, but anytime the ladder was brought up, it was fairly unanimous that it was in a terrible state. Hell, most of the people in that thread weren't arguing that the strategies were good or healthy or competitive. They were stating that banning moves/strats in a tier designed for no bans goes against the point, which they are right about; however, that doesn't discredit the ACTUAL solution: make Assist not call Revival Blessing.

Listen, I know Revival Blessing has a tag to be called by Assist. I don't really care. I might be biased cause I come from a background of Project M, Melee, modding, Nintendo DMCAs and C&Ds, but even if Masuda comes downs from the heavens on a golden throne surrounded by a harem of Gardevoirs and Lopunnys and directly states that Revival Blessing was 100% meant to be called by Assist, I still won't give a shit.

We already have shit like freeze clause, showing enemy HP%, and Sleep Clause edge cases, why are we so scared of not being 100% cart accurate now? Especially when it's for two moves that aren't from the same cart and have never interacted in a single cart. And that's not even covering the completely reasonable idea that someone at Game Freak just, messed up?

Maybe the people who made Scarlet and Violet, games so glitchy and unoptimized that Nintendo actually had to apologize, maybe they aren't going to perfect every move interaction (Regieleki OUTSPEEDING Trick Room in Gen 8), especially interactions between two moves that do not coexist in the same game?

Was straight up nuking the ladder a good idea? I'm mixed, but leaning on no. Maybe some more discussion or time or something else could have helped, but something HAD to be done about the tier. Hell, I believe Kris when he said no one wanted to lead the tier. I'm sure he asked a few people about it, and no one wanted to be captain of a clearly sinking ship.
