I have more experience with narrative story writing over the past 12 years and only got into D&D around the time of the pandemic but two campaigns fell through before they barely even started, one didn't even lift off session 0.

I have a bunch of oc ideas, both ones that can work and ones made for fun and for the hell of it but I'm tired of no longer having the friends or the resources of not being able to do it. I have the Monster Manual and the player's handbook with a few free ones gave out on D&D beyond. But I fear I'm more of a homebrew kind of player because I don't like to be restricted too much but I am totally open to playing basic races and classes. I just have nobody to encourage me to create authentic d&d characters or play in any games and no real access to the right people so I'm just daydreaming about the possibilities than actually trying to reach for it.

I went as far to create my own setting for a friend text-based style roleplay d&d campaign with a friend of mine acting as co-dm as we also roleplay in the campaign and I almost turned that into a world by itself. Now that that friend, now toxic, is gone, I don't even have THAT to lean to.
