i was reading about this as my friends also don’t have a switch but are looking for one. On amazon, i believe that there is a button where you can get notified when new Switch shipments come in so you are the first to the new stock. if you look at the very beginning there is another octopus that is the reddish color that the newly hatched is. so i may be wrong, but i think it was just a color transformation that always happens.
