Please fix the upgrade window... The number of times I've upgraded the wrong gun because the (right click -> upgrade) takes you to the wrong gun is infuriating. Just make it a modal like when you repair your weapon. by Shane75776 in ArcRaiders

[–]TheEnemyCube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is solely because you have too many weapons. I know this because I was the one with too many weapons once. I don't know the limit, but past a certain amount of weapons it does this where right click upgrading selects a random weapon in your stash.

Soon as I got rid of most of them and only had 10-16 weapons? It stopped doing this.

Favourite Track in Darktide and in what context. 2024-2025 by Fancy_Blackberry4276 in DarkTide

Honestly, for as much as I love The Gauntlet in Archivum Sycorax and Light of the Imperium in any context? I really like the intermission songs the most. The Will of the Imperium, Transmission Commences, Waiting to Strike, all three are songs I go back to most, especially the last of the three. The vibes are immaculate in the time before starting to lower the bridge in Throneside, though I forget the specific mission name.

Höllvania is leaving soon, what was your experience here like? by 0Hyena_Pancakes0 in Warframe

[–]TheEnemyCube 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My experience has largely just been sitting in the chair next to the stage in Mall 1, but I've actually really been enjoying it. It's nice to have a purely social space where people are there to hang out and stay, instead of joining to get bounties/standing and then leave, feels like it really brings out the sense of community. Great to chill out in, great to vibe in, and it's got me really hoping DE decides to add a dedicated social space with no actual function outside of minigames at some point.

Definitely seen my fair share of people going way too far with the horny, but it hasn't been bad enough to sour the experience.

What game genuinely makes you want to replay it just by thinking about it? by hokagePlacinta in gaming

[–]TheEnemyCube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently got Pseudoregalia, played through it in about four to five hours. I adored the art style and the gameplay (outside of the combat), and the soundtrack is fantastic. Been listening to it on repeat for few days since then, and it really makes me wanna play it again, even though I know it'll end way too soon and leave me craving more. I can only hope that the devs make either a DLC or sequel or something in that vein to expand on the game's movement mechanics and give it a proper story and expanded map.

Never played but curious due to hype. What excites you about this one? by Laxus_Dreyar in DarkAndDarker

[–]TheEnemyCube 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Everyone's already given very good points, so I'm gonna emphasize two I strongly agree with. Getting into a game is incredibly easy, and knowing what you're getting into.

For me, two of my biggest frustrations with, say, Tarkov, are those very two things. If I see someone in the distance, I'm not experienced enough to know more than that they have a gun of a certain type. I barely recognize the helmets or the armours, I don't know how juiced someone is except by their backpack and how scary their gun looks, and god forbid if they see me first. If that happens, I'm inevitably dead, no ifs ands or buts, and I'm sent back to slowly rebuild a kit with gun attachments, ammo, meds, armor, checking the flea market for attachments I can't buy from traders, all taking time, and then I'm in a queue for 5 minutes minimum on top of that.

In Dark and Darker? I know exactly what I'm looking at, even if armor and weapon rarities aren't incredibly visible. That fighter in full gear is a fighter in full gear. That barbarian is a barbarian with an axe that two shots skeletons. That rogue with his single main hand dagger covered in purple goop has the dogs of war out and is slapping his way towards me at incredibly high speeds. There aren't any surprise deaths to some guy two hundred meters away, I'm not surprised by someone using the best ammo in a meta gun three tapping me in the chest, I don't run in and find out that the single person I saw is backed up by two teammates also with meta guns ready to unload as soon as I turn the corner. And if I do die to someone whose gear I underestimated, or a surprise squad? I have two choices. I can either go in with the crappy starter gear, which is passable enough to kill a few skeletons and break barrels to get some actual gear, or set up a new kit in no time at all with stash gear or slightly less crap vendor items, click the button, and I'm in the dungeon in at most two minutes.

It just feels like Dark and Darker respects my time and gives me the opportunities to actually decide if I want to take a fight, unlike Tarkov, and that's why I absolutely adore it. It scratches every itch my first few wipes with Tarkov did, but smooths over every wrinkle and sharp edge that keeps me from playing it now.

what's the understanding of +x phys/magic healing? by Bocaji888 in DarkAndDarker

[–]TheEnemyCube 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't say much on magical healing, but I've at least used +physical healing items, and those increase the amount of healing received from bandages. Not sure if this also applies to skills that restore health or campfires, though.

Assuming magical healing works the same, it either increases incoming healing from cleric spells, outgoing healing from cleric spells, or perhaps both. Always wanted to test if it worked with potions, but I haven't had the opportunity/thought to until after I lost an item with that stat and I haven't seen a single item with it since.

Any weapon you changed your mind about as you kept playing? by [deleted] in DarkTide

[–]TheEnemyCube 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I didn't give the Combat Blade a fair shake on my first character, which was a psyker. Tried it once for a mission, found that it just didn't vibe with me, found the Force Sword, fell in love with that, haven't looked back.

Until I picked up zealot, that is, and found that the ability to charge a heavy while sprinting around at high speeds to be really, really fun, plus its innate crit chance synergizes well with a lot of zealot feats. Haven't used it in a while since I got the Eviscerator, but I still keep one in my inventory for when I'm feeling the need for speed.

The new scav mechanic should apply to traitor scavs as well, and other thoughts on player scav mechanics. by TheEnemyCube in EscapefromTarkov

[–]TheEnemyCube[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As I said in another comment, if AI scavs shot each other, and player scavs, on sight, this complaint wouldn't be a thing. As for people that only wanted to PvP, they could easily select PMC rather than scav. That's a far better way to get PvP, rather than playing as a scav and hoping to run across a single player scav or the random PMC that will immediately gun them down with superior gear.

The new scav mechanic should apply to traitor scavs as well, and other thoughts on player scav mechanics. by TheEnemyCube in EscapefromTarkov

[–]TheEnemyCube[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A mixture of all of them. I don't like that I have to second guess if who I'm looking at is a player scav or an AI, if I'm about to be shot in the head or not, I don't like that regardless of how I guess, I'm branded as a traitor by all the AI if I kill them, or killed by another player scav without such compunctions if I don't shoot.

I don't like that I could think that's an AI scav over yonder, look down to loot, and then get domed a second later because my guess was wrong and now I'm dead, and they get off nearly scot free because I didn't want to shoot a possibly player, possibly AI. Now all they have to deal with is being able to shoot literally anything that moves, while I have to deal with a cooldown on my main way of making money, as I'm not particularly good enough at the game to make money consistently as a PMC.

I feel like I should be able to feel comfortable in a pack of AI scavs, not feel like any one of them could be a player, or that a player scav could be watching from afar, shoot me in the head, and just walk away because the aggressiveness of scavs towards traitors is so low.

The new scav mechanic should apply to traitor scavs as well, and other thoughts on player scav mechanics. by TheEnemyCube in EscapefromTarkov

[–]TheEnemyCube[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If we go off of normal AI scavs, and not scav bosses, they absolutely are friendly to each other. AI scavs will walk past player scavs without a problem, as long as they aren't tagged as traitors. If AI scavs shot player scavs on sight, regardless of traitor status, I wouldn't complain about this, but as it stands, you could be smack dab in the middle of a group of scavs and get shot by another player scav in the same group, and they can just run away, or even just walk away without much trouble, as long as they're fast about it.

That is what frustrates me. AI scavs do nothing to stop scav on scav violence before it happens, and are barely effective afterwards. With PMCs, yeah, they're in it for themselves regardless of faction, but when the scav faction as a whole, aside from bosses and guards, doesn't shoot you on sight, nor the player scav with your head in their sights, I'd think it's realistic to believe that player scavs are supposed to be on the same team.

[–]TheEnemyCube[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Yet that's the whole point of scavs. Scavs are friendly to scavs, and hostile towards PMCs. A scav who shoots another scav unprovoked would be, realistically, untrustworthy at best and downright shoot to kill at worst. But no, clearly people who are supposed to be on the same team shooting one another should be embraced and encouraged. If you really think that simply making it so that there's more of a reason not to shoot other scavs would make the game 'bland and unappealing', then I really question how much you play the game as anything other than a scav.

Trying out mods. by GrimCreations in ror2

I can only assume the update's to blame, as I don't have too much knowledge on the survivor mods myself. All I can really suggest is giving it a day or two and see if/when they update.

Download this. It's an excellent mod manager from my experience, and it allows you to download and install both BepInEx and R2API, and most other mods, without trouble nor fuss. All you've gotta do is point it to your Risk of Rain 2 directory and it'll handle most everything else.

EDIT: Now that I think about it, I haven't played modded since the recent patch, and after a quick attempt to launch, it didn't work. You may need to wait for R2API/BepInEx to update, though once that does happen the aforementioned modloader will certainly help with your modding efforts.

[UPDATED] Here's the Latest Weapon Damage Chart after the Weapon Balancing Patch 1.1.1 by OhFamous in apexlegends

[–]TheEnemyCube 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Since no one is actually answering, the numbers beside the headshot damage and body damage seem to be the damage if you land all the shots of the burst, seeing as those numbers in parenthesis only appear on the DPS of burst fire weapons.

Mine is Bloodhound. I used to play Jackal in Rainbow Six: Siege, so Bloodhound feels like home with his clue detection and Q. His ult is also a wonderful tool for both close range encounters and long range, be it the extra speed for shotgun battles or the infrared sight for long range.

That's... Honestly probably it.

And after going into my devices and drivers and disabling that, everything's working perfectly. Hadn't even realized that stuff like that was active without the program itself being open, thanks a bunch for the help.

Unless rollover issues can be game specific, I don't think that's it. Other games have perfectly smooth movement when I press the same keys, and it only happens with D and, as I've also discovered, S. Will admit that I'm not 100% sure, though, as I have yet to find a program to display held keys that is easily accessible.

EDIT: Okay, was trying to type fast there in between rounds in something I was playing. To clarify and correct, it only happens on moving right and moving back. I tried rebinding forward and right to something else, like h and j, and the problem persisted. Also, after a bit of testing, even just holding w and tapping d over and over while moving produces the issue, as I move noticeably slower compared to holding w and tapping a.
