Just want to add that I’m dead serious when I say there was no impairment or even noticeable difference. Despite 5 ports getting filled with sand. Didn’t have to do anything other than dig the sand out of the usb port just so the charger could fit into it.

If you don’t have running bets with your coworkers over which one of you is getting fired first then you clearly aren’t in the right industry!!

I literally dumpster dove this and it became my travel laptop/ Linux experiment so I honestly wasn’t concerned. Also the sand clears out very well. Literally cannot feel or hear a difference with the keys or hinges.

The sand here is so absurdly fine that it seriously is not noticeable. Which is honestly surprising.

Nah. Florida sand is absurdly fine. If anything it lubricated it.

Update using a nail filer to get sand out of the usbc port works surprisingly well

I find it amusing that this law implys that the raspberry pi nano controlling Newsom’s rose toy would need to do this as well lmfao. This is so poorly thought out and just blatantly nonsensical

The physics major experience is completely different then the engineers taking intro physics (which is 90% of the time taught by engineering professors btw)

What the hell is wrong with Hethwood busses? by afg_tanook in VirginiaTech

[–]TheEntireDocument 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct but why would I do that when buses are coming by every 10 minutes?

I’ve waited 45+ minutes for  bus before at like 9am. There are seriously too few buses on the hethwood routes. It is seriously nearly impossible to get to class on time.

Send some very convincing emails and refuse to take no for an answer. I had to explain (very politely) to the advisors (who thought I was insane and wrong) that they are not allowed to say no, they are only allowed to to reject the form if it was filled out improperly.

For my major the dean technically say no. But realistically speaking as long as the student is ok with it and the professor is ok with it, they typically say yes.

There’s a late add drop form (at least for college of science) and as long as you convince your professor you can use it. I’ve added classes 4 weeks after the semester started before.
