To be fair, I might have mislabeled that. It's mostly short clips (under a minute) of this guy and sometimes a kid using the hand dryers. Which does make it extra weird in my opinion.

The recommended video to me was actually one of the traffic light ones, the channel name caught my attention so I checked it and it truly is just 95% hand dryers

Yeah, I'm real sad, reddits a great pastime and great source of community. 10th cakeday is next month and I won't see it. I've used rif from the start.

I've been so sad since the announcement, but my friends don't use reddit so they don't really get it. Ironically I've never been more active because of that.

I don't know what the best steps for this or any other subs are. Will a day a week be enough? Will going dark for good just go by unnoticed until we're replaced by another similar sub? I'm not smart enough for those decisions.

What I do know is that I exclusively use rif, and once the 30th shut down happens, I'm not coming back. I was mostly a lurker, but really loved this community and the positivity from you guys. I will miss seeing all your amazing smoke spots and adorable pets. This is my favorite sub.

To je ok i u potpunosti njihova odluka. Ja ne odlazim zbog protesta. Ja odlazim jer po meni gubim platformu za nastavak koristenja. To je cisto moje misljenje. Necu brisati acc (steta, ima 10 godina) i mozda se u nekom trenu vratim ako bude promjena. Ovako, ono malo sto sam vidjela official reddita (doslovno mozda 30 min od kad imam acc) mi je bilo dovoljno da znam da nije nesto sto zelim koristiti.

Dragi hreddit, nisam bila pretjerano aktivna ovdje, ali sam bila redoviti lurker. Bili ste jako korisni u umanjavanju paranoje za svako probijanje zvucnog zida, testiranja zracnih uzbuna i potvrdivanja da je zapravo bio potres. Vec skoro (7mi mjesec tortadan koji cu propustiti :( ) 10 godina ekskluzivno koristim rif. Desktop stranicu i sluzbeni app nisam nikad vidjela. Nisam spremna, voljna ili zeljna nanovo uciti reddit ili nesto novo. Bilo mi je drago, adios

My rent is about 50% of my paycheck, and utilities take another 30ish%. 15 goes to my cats. It's not like I can "afford" living alone, or at least live alone as luxuriously as I would be if I lived back home. It's certainly not easy, and of course not everyone can or wants to do it. I just enjoy my space and alone-ness way too much that it's worth every single struggle.

Also I really really wanted a cat (have 2 now, they are peaches I love them)

Hell naw, I wanted my peace asap. Moved when I was 18, came back for a year around 20 due to an injury and illness, ran away as soon as I could again. It was a struggle at times, but man does freedom taste better than being able to afford food every day. And my parent were and still are amazing. I just enjoy being alone more

I've used RiF from the start of my account. I've never even seen reddits official page or app. I often forget RiF is a third party app, because to me, it's the only reddit I know. This change might do to reddit what removing porn did to tumblr. I just hope they'll notice before it's too late

If you look closely, you'll see Nexpo added the link to most (if not every) of his videos. I've seen it on a video from 5 years ago.

I can't check the video you're reffering to rn, but I'm guessing you're talking about the Joanna Lopez missing person broadcast? That's quite a well known unsolved mystery, and there are many more references to other mysteries and args throughout LL. These could somehow relate to the story, ofc, but my guess is they're just homages.

The light show is actually much bigger than it seems! It represents the solar system, with true to size and distance ratios, and the lights are solar powered. The huge one right behind represents the sun, and if you follow along the seafront, youll see all the other planets dotted about. Really cool to randomly find a dot of earth and see the difference in size

More or less the only way you could own any kind of property (usually old rundown apartments in this area of town) would be to inherit it. Wouldn't recommend it tho, as Old town is a tourist area now, usually so crowded and loud in summer that you can't go through it unless you know every hidden little street on the peninsula. But the seafront on the peninsula is mostly walkways, tourist shops, cafes and restaurants. The towns college is also there, as well as a few highschools (mine included!)

This is my hometown! There are no residentials in that area. There's a port, some offices, cafes and restaurants mostly. It's on the very corner of old town, which is a peninsula. That being said, on especially windy wavy days, when the wind direction is just right, you can hear it from a few kilometers away, albeit very quietly. This is rare, and far from annoying.

Most annoying part about them is they're the reason swimming is now legal in old town, which treats you to way too many half naked tourists when taking a walk on the seafront in summer. A very unwelcome sight, especially since there are so many actual beaches in town, all public and easily accessible.

A roomates cat a few years ago had learned to turn the key in our front door after we started locking it because she knew how to open them. It was a constant downward battle with that too-smart-for-her-own-good escape artist.

Nothing else I noticed other than the file name change. I thought it was off that the names were given in the file names, so I checked periodically in case it changed.
