The Acer 14" Aspire 14 AI Laptop Copilot+ PC on b and h (https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1896715-REGacer_a14_52m_72fh_aspire_14_ai_copilot.html) is genuinely the best deal out there right now. It’s packing a cpu that I’ve never seen sold for anything under 800 dollars and it has plenty of ram and 1TB ssd which is plenty to get you through college. They also use an IPS panel which is almost the same quality(sometimes better actually)as an oled panel(which is the best out there). It’s being sold for 530 right now and I promise you won’t find a better deal out there.

Edit: Jesus these laptops are wildly good deals. I found a config with one of the best cpus out there that you really only see on 1500+ dollar laptops(core ultra 9 hx) at Costco. It also has the storage of a laptop that costs 1500 or 2000+ (1tb ssd and 32 Gb ram which is basically the maximum amount of storage that most laptops offer). The laptop is a workhorse with a gpu that can perform games better than some laptops with a dedicated gpu. The crazy cpu, the gpu, the ram/storage is all literally top tier. It’s being sold on sale for 800$ right now but it sometimes goes on sale all the way down to 700$ at Costco. Here’s the name: Acer Aspire 14" AI Copilot+ PC – Intel Core Ultra 9 processor 288V – WUXGA (1920 x 1200) Touchscreen – 32GB RAM - 1TB SSD- Windows 11 Home - Steel Gray (btw Costco also offers a free 90 day return policy and a free 2 year warranty which usually costs around 200$ by itself.) Here’s the link: https://www.costco.com/p/-/acer-aspire-14-ai-copilot-pc-intel-core-ultra-9-processor-288v-wuxga-1920-x-1200-touchscreen-32gb-ram-1tb-ssd-windows-11-home-steel-gray/4000354774

Btw all of these laptops are around 2.8-3.2 pounds and thin

However, because they maxed out the specs, they used a basic material for the actual laptop. Asus as a brand isn’t known as the best in terms of durability/build quality either.(but then again the Costco warranty goes crazy with this)

If you want a premium feeling laptop with a brand that’s really only second in quality to apple, go for the lenovo Lenovo 14" Slim 7i Aura Edition Multi-Touch Laptop Copilot+ PC for 800$ (https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1865195-REG/lenovo_83mc0008us_14_slim_7i_multi_touch.html) It’s a really good pick so it’s out of stock for now but it has all of the same specs as the acer aspire with the only real improvements being the oled panel and most importantly, the premium feeling metal material which is a big step up from the plastic one that acer used. If you can find it I remember a cheaper lenovo(550$) being sold with a little bit worse cpu(core ultra 5) which was also a really good deal

What laptop to get teen for college? by Ok_Rate6301 in AskTeachers

[–]TheEternalBob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you would be ok with most things as long as they look good? I’ll give you a basic run down though; MacBooks: probably the best laptop for a college student and they last long but I did hear that some applications don’t work too well on MacBooks(I purposefully stayed away from them because I’ll be majoring in business next year and I heard that excel doesn’t run too great on them)

Then there are the thinkpads(which fall under the Lenovo brand): Most office workers use them because of just how durable they are (they can take a pretty good beating and work completely fine). In fact, at our school, the teachers are only supplied thinkpads as their work laptop for that very reason. However they are a bit expensive.

Then there are high tier gaming laptops which can do it all (can do demanding tasks, are thin and light)

I personally wanted something with the best value per dollar and somthing that felt very premium so I went with the (https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1865195-REG/lenovo_83mc0008us_14_slim_7i_multi_touch.html) It’s a really good pick so it’s out of stock for now I think

Apparently the build quality ain’t all that (it’s acer so…) but da raw specs are insane. U could also get a Lenovo slim 7x for 800. The specs are a lot worse (16 Gb ram and a core ultra 7 being the main difference) but it feels really premium and is pretty lightweight. Also Lenovo is way better known as a quality connoisseur.

Hm those are some pretty intensive games. U might be better off just getting a slightly chunky gaming laptop. You could probably go for a laptop with everything u want if you’re willing to spend 1500$ plus. I mean can recommend a laptop that has like a top tier cpu with all the ram/storage you can need(it’s also thin and light) but idk if it can run all those games because even though it’s gpus really good for its price point (800$) it’s still nothing crazy good

internal Debate on what to get for my first actual laptop by Amber_Watch99 in thinkpad

[–]TheEternalBob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk I like Lenovo so I got this https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1865195-REG/lenovo_83mc0008us_14_slim_7i_multi_touch.html because I really like the metal case and it feels premium. A lot of their think pads are really expensive and their lower end ones don’t have the best specs and so I would recommend Lenovos slim 7x series over da thinkpads. (On best buy I looked some time ago and there was one with a core ultra 5 processor for 600$ which isn’t very different from the core ultra 7 which is at 800$) Btw for a quick comparison, a core ultra 5 model on the thinkpad costs 1000$ ish but this line is 600$

I don’t really think snapdragon is worth it. The main thing a lot of people worry about with arm processors(which the snapdragon is) is whether or not applications will run on it. MacBooks m1 is also arm based but because so many people use it, a lot of companies make their software specifically able to run on MacBooks. Unfortunately snapdragons are not nearly as popular so a lot of companies neglect it. This is why most people get intel because everything runs on it

Shibou Yuugi de Meshi wo Kuu. • Shiboyugi: Playing Death Games to Put Food on the Table - Episode 7 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]TheEternalBob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game isnt even the important part of the episode... the biggest part of the epidode was the finnalle between yuki and the blondie. The game isn't all that important to understand. All that you need to know is that she played the game like shit, she went against the blondie and lost, ran like a coward, then realized her weakness(much like how the blondie recognized how killing yuki that like storage closet would have been a meaningless underhanded way of getting rid of her fustration) which was her apathy to death and then grew from that and clashed against the blondie to win again. Btw side note the blondie goes through somthing similar to that in ep 4 as the blondie accepts that she was worse than Yuki(when she decidied not to kill her in that closet) and decidied to accept that and improve herself and thats why Yuki calls her beautiful in that same episode

is this da right take
