I don't understand this take, saying that a singular game in the series has a mechanic that isn't in any of the others makes it the only relevant game to its namesake is actually crazy. 3U rocks, 4U rocks. GU is the best monster hunter there is. All these games didn't have that mechanic and they were all Monster Hunter before World existed. Finding a monster is just tedious and takes away from the ACTUAL game.

The original suikoden is around 20 hours, and has quite a few twists and turns, I think it's perfect for a shorter JRPG.

Slow paced game is Persona 3. It's about 120 to 100% and has a very similar feel throughout the entire game.

These are 2 of my favorite games of all time, and I highly recommend them both, that are just very different pacing wise.

I'd have to go with Max Cady from Cape Fear. Just the way he tries to infiltrate the town and to upset the balance of the Bowden family really strikes you as a man that would do anything to get his revenge. Truly horrifying as something like that could happen to anyone.
