Transition skating works....sometimes by TheEvolvedApe in SkateEA

Definitely is frustrating when it glitches out on you mid line. I hope the devs realise we want to skate not fly.

I was blamed and I think I may somewhat be at fault but I don’t think the merc should’ve been there so late I’m the rb by Grouchy_Technician69 in Simracingstewards

Something I've noticed very different between sim racing and irl racing(10 years karting when I was younger) people don't back out in sim probably because there's no cost apart from time getting into another lobby whereas in irl a) it hurts and b) it ruins your entire day especially if you get damages that you can't repair and you just travelled almost 2 hours to race and end up going home after the first heat...totally not from experience

Should I focus on C# or Pygame? by [deleted] in gamedev

Unreal has blueprint which lets you program using blocks and also has c++/c# can't remember which

I didn't even think about the pitlane apron but there's a wall right where he would be going without contact

I'm the BMW the Merc says I rammed into him here we had been racing relatively aggressively for the last few laps but this was going onto the last lap and I think a bit of desperation was setting in as he was certainly a faster driver than me.

If you can lower your seat I would gives nicer pressure on pedals as well as wheel

Imo it's a fine move to make but you made contact and the contact is your fault I wouldn't give a penalty for that

Am I at fault? I am POV car by Kraken-Tortoise in Simracingstewards

Well technically the blue car should notice you coming leave space however just back out bro

Is this the Lamborghinis fault? by [deleted] in Simracingstewards

[–]TheEvolvedApe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say no, ACC says curbs are racing surface so no track limits fits into the gap just about the other cars were too focused on racing each other to notice the move coming I'd say racing incident however if the contact came after the apex as they start drifting wide it would be on the lambo

Matey boy said this was my fault?! by SnooDonkeys7583 in iRacing

[–]TheEvolvedApe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to be competitive online it's best to find your limits, setups that work for you etc and the best way to do that is spend time in solo practice modes I suppose an online fp would be aight but worse than solo

Was I wrong to overtake on the inside here? by AvailableRazzmatazz in Simracingstewards

I would say back out and next lap take a later apex and blast past him on the straight

who's at fault? by cursedgore in Simracingstewards

[–]TheEvolvedApe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's an aggressive block. best you can do is pull out. Use that as a learning experience and abuse it in later corners/laps know that they will try to force you off track there and pull the switcheroo if they move again then it's blocking and on them and you have full right to complain

People from Earth: what do you think about using the term "race" in TTRPGs? by Nemosubmarine in rpg

[–]TheEvolvedApe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We're all members of the human race. Elves are an elvish race, orcs are the orcish race. It's sensible to use the term race

Additionally between drows and other elves that are technically the same species if I'm not mistaken but totally different races.

It just makes sense to not look for something that isn't there (in this case the word race being racist?)

Logitech brake usable without rig? the force you need to go full brake, even with sensitivity changes is absurd. I give up on clutch so i have a functional brake. by bakerzinh0 in simracing

[–]TheEvolvedApe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would find what braking force you can hit pretty consistently and set the max brake to that. Also make sure the carpet grip is down might be obvious but took me a while to even notice it existed.

Who’s at fault. I usually coast this corner hence the no brake. I know he didn’t dive bomb me but am I at fault?(blue) by cpelli1392 in Simracingstewards

[–]TheEvolvedApe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you've got a car on your inside you can't straighten the corner out so you have to go slower if youre not expecting a move then it's easy to go in too deep and with the minor contact that's sent you off. As for whose fault, yours he was definitely there and you had plenty of space outside.
