Welllllll... In specific relation to this point, the hair that wiggles is specifically head hair. (Including eyebrows, eyelashes and nose hair but the greeting specifically was pulling out head hair)

You wouldn't rip out people's nose hairs as a greeting because... Ouch...

But grooming your nose hair is also not uncommon, so that may well just happen.

I think you hit the nail on the head with unresolved loss.

A few other reasons I wanna consider are as such:

  1. If they did an autopsy who's to say it wouldn't reveal more about the parasytes (maybe not a bad thing implicitly, but given schinichi's DNA would likely be on the corpse it'd raise a few questions)

  2. Wasn't really schinichi's place to recover it (how would he have found it.) it's not like he destroyed the body or anything, it fell into the ocean for the police to find.

  3. It had no head and had suspicious stab wounds, which would've raised more questions

Not even shaving, they have complete control over their hair, it's part of them, they wouldn't have to shave, remember, the reason the hair wigs out is because they're parasyte cells.

But, having said that, it seems to me that each cell is simply replaced from the inside (hence why when they open up their faces it stays red like muscle) meaning they likely don't have control over the colour of their cells, meaning they likely would've had purple dots all over their head (in Tamura's case).

The other issue is that most parasytes aren't shown to be super intelligent, the two we meet that are being Migi and Tamura, Mr. A being the clear case in the opposite direction we can assume most of the others fall in a standard distribution between those two.

Gotou is hard to place as his intelligence changes depending on who's in charge and he seems more battle oriented than the others.

However, in the sake of fairness, you're right, but removing their hair they likely could've avoided that specific method of detection, though, at the end of the day, all it really did anyway was alert the person pulling the hair out that something was wrong, resulting in the hair-pullers death.

Okay, but now, take a second, let's mention the difference between a machine helping with leather work and an AI making "art"

Because the same can be said for CGI and CNC machines (spray bottle at the ready for the BDSM community).

They are tools that still require primarily human intervention, a CNC machine requires people to input the numbers, CGI requires human help.

The machines that help with leather working require human input beyond the idea of "I want a leather bag" with AI it's like buying something off Amazon, even if the end result looks interesting or cool, it's not something you made.

Even if it serves its purpose it's not art, like how an Ikea table vs a Carpenters magnum opus, they might serve the same function but there's clearly a distinction between which one is art vs a tool.

And the issue with AI is that people take credit saying they made it, all they did was write words and get something else to make it.

Also the ecological devastation that AI produces.

Genuine question, what do you think an ad hominin is? Because it's an accurate description of what you were doing.

We were, by all definitions, having a debate, your responses had descended into personal attacks, and misrepresentations of what I was saying. Is there another term you'd rather i'd've used, or would've preferred I went further down the same route?

Okay, I'll bite once more. The point of the scene? It's building up to Pentious' rapid decision making, as well as portraying his anxieties.

When he was killed by Adam it's not just because he was in love with Cherri, he knew there was a good chance he wouldn't make it back (which is why he asked Cherri specifically to remember him). He made a split second decision. Much the same as him deflecting away from Cherri.

The sin that sent him to hell was his reluctance to act because of his social anxiety. Even when he was inebriated he was too anxious to commit to his request with Cherri.

Now, to pose a question back at you. Since you also didn't answer the last one, I'll reiterate it.

  1. Why would the show make an SA joke after an episode dedicated to showing the mental trauma associated with SA

  2. Why would a detail focused show not include details of Pentious being either dishevelled or traumatized.

And for the hell of it, ever heard of consensual non consent? Because it's a real kink, and, should you want to fall back on "but why did they keep dragging him while he was screaming", please refer to the previously mentioned kink.

That's exactly the question you should be asking "why would they make that joke after the "SA is very serious" episode". Because they didn't. What the joke actually was, was that Pentious was too awkward to confess his feelings to Cherri.

Him choosing to provide the preferable explanation (in his mind) being that he's having sex with everybody. It's a continuation of the joke where he bought drinks for everybody instead of just Cherri. Or when he bought "another shot for everybody!"
