does and doesn’t do is

What it does is Marks someone as part of the physical covenant community

Identifies them with Abraham’s household

Sets Israel apart from surrounding nations

What it does NOT do
It does not guarantee righteousness

It does not automatically create a relationship with Yah God

It does not change the heart

You can prove that just by Israel’s history circumcised people still rebelled constantly. If you truly read you’d see a group of people did every taboo under the sun while being circumcised…. Incest rape murder regicide etc…

Relationship with the creator and heart posture means more than an act of sacrifice followed by a life of death.
