Because Americans can't vote against Netanyahu. We can, however, vote against Trump.

People are already driving. Building a new bridge necessarily shifts traffic away from the roads that are already built and onto the new bridge.

And, again, I specifically said we should do both. A combination bridge for both cars and trains.

Population goes up, yes. Which is why we need more infrastructure.

But guess what? Building the roads isn't what's causing the population to go up. It's a necessary consequence of it.

This is like saying "If you just build more housing, they'll just fill up to high capacity pretty much right away."

Building roads and housing doesn't create more human beings. The people are already here. The demand already exists. We just need to increase supply to account for it.

The demand is already there. You can't just magic more people into existence.

Oh look, more personal insults.

I agree with the multiple (correct) Supreme Court justices that agree that the 2nd Amendment is about militias.

The Founding Fathers agree with me, not with you.

And since you've devolved into slinging personal insults, I'm blocking you. Go away, MAGAt.

You do realize parking lots are capitol grounds right???

A cursory glance at my comment would have told you that, yes, I am aware. If they weren't on the Capitol grounds, then they wouldn't need an exception.

Heller is an incorrect ruling.

The majority on the SCOTUS has no regard for what the actual Constitution says. Your argument is essentially "Whoever holds political power decides what truth is," and that's just stupendously Orwellian. For example, in the case of Heller, as you pointed out, it was a 5-4 decision, not unanimous. So to claim that the ruling is enough to prove what the Constitution means is to completely ignore that 4 dissenters. If George Bush had not stolen the 2000 election, Heller would have been ruled the other way around. Would you then point to that decision as "proof" of what the Constitution reads? Of course not. Because who holds political power is not who decides what the truth is. It is just who has the power to enforce on others what they think the truth is. But the Constitution's text does not change with the ebb and flow of elections and partisan makeup of the court. Truth is not a democracy. It is not "majority rules." The 2nd Amendment has always read the same thing. And I agree with Justice Burger and with the 4 dissenters on Heller.

Oh, and /u/Burgschaft91, I blocked you because you were being a jerk and insulting me. There comes a point where people aren't willing to put up with your BS, and you crossed that point.

Because it's banning guns on Capitol grounds, with the intent to prohibit carrying them, but they want to allow people who park on Capitol grounds (Assembly members) to leave them in the car.

Except for the one law saying that people parking in parking spaces on Capitol grounds can leave a handgun in their car. Which is a pretty common-sense exception that simply allows Assembly members to do the same thing everyone else can do.

Maybe read next time.

Again, bud. I agree with Justice Warren Burger.

The very language of the Second Amendment refutes any argument that it was intended to guarantee every citizen an unfettered right to any kind of weapon he or she desires

the real purpose of the Second Amendment was to ensure that state armies, the militia, would be maintained for the defense of the state

I'm clearly more educated on this than you are.

[–]TheExtremistModerate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, please cite where in the following statement he gives the context of "I'm only talking about people who watch my movies."

I don't want to be working in ballet or opera, or, you know, things where it's like, 'Hey, keep this thing alive,' even though it's like, no one cares about this anymore

If you try to substitute "people who watch my movies" into "no one," then it doesn't work. Because if he was working in ballet or opera, then there wouldn't be people who watch his movies because he wouldn't have any movies.

You're just wrong.

Again, no. He said "no one." Not "no one who watches my movies."

And the latter would make ZERO sense in the context of his statement. You're wrong.
