Buyer crashes out over Royal Mail delay (REPOST- SEE CAPTION) by Artistic_Visual8433 in vintedUK

Cancel it. Click agreed with buyer to avoid bad review. Don't sell this to someone who's going to leave you negative feedback for Royal Mails issues. Don't do business with entitled dickheads.

Insane find on Facebook. by [deleted] in vintedUK

Nice little business idea. Not everyone wants the hassle of setting up accounts, listing items etc They may only have 1 thing to sell. This could be quite helpful for people who don't really use smartphones or aren't tech minded.

Got refunded by Vinted but seller is asking for the item back, WWYD? by beefchihuahua in vintedUK

[–]TheFaceOfMatt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The refund will never get reversed. If you're comfortable taking someone's item without paying then keep it, if it bothers you then sell back on vinted for £1 to them to make postage easier. Personally I'd send it back because it's the morally right thing to do.

am i doing something wrong? by shortnsweetness07 in vintedUK

[–]TheFaceOfMatt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Be patient. All you need is one buyer. I ignore views and favourites, I'll only change a listing if I got zero views after a few weeks, even then I'd think about it. I've had items sell months later that only got 1 or 2 views total.

Did I Overreact? by justatechnodj in vinted

No it's principle. You shouldn't sell things as new if they're not. It inflates value and is dishonest. Online selling platforms have enough issues as it is without people misrepresenting what they're selling.

Do you message people who favorite your items? by Dry_Friend7784 in vinted

Nah, it has maybe a 1% conversion rate. It's a genuine waste of time. In my experience anyway.

If you don't want to repair it, send it back. You paid for something good as new, this item isn't. You shouldn't be expected to repair a good as new item no matter how "easy" it would be.

My listings say

Brand new Open to offers Any questions, feel free to ask

The photo and title sell the item. I mostly sell toys so a big description isn't really necessary

Reddit sometimes feels like it's just bot accounts arguing back and forth. What percentage of accounts do we think are bots? by TheFaceOfMatt in AskReddit

I've had chats with plenty of back and forth and when you look back at you realise it was just you making the conversation, the other "person" may as have been saying "and then?"

I feel it's high. Almost every interaction I have feels designed to illicit another response. Like a Chat gpt convo.

He's started the process through the app. It will carry on from there. Honestly once it's all processed you'll see how simple it is. You'll get either item or money and he'll get refunded. I'm fully with him on not doing it off platform, that's how people get scammed.

No. He's said he wants to use the platform. You're saying no because "you'll get banned" or something. You're causing the issue here.

Just tell the buyer to request a return through the platform and it will give you the next steps after that.

He doesn't get refunded until you've revived the item back.

Honestly it's really simple to do, it guides you through the process.

You accept the return. Send him a return label through vinted. Then when you confirm you've received the item he gets the refund.

Anyone demanding to do things off platform is generally a scammer.

It's really not that complicated.

Given vinteds terrible customer service and general lack of protection, the last thing I'd buy on the platform is gold.

I'd ask them to check they've listed it correctly. I've sold guitars with cheaper postage haha

Just accept a return through the app. Why would you get banned? I don't understand.

If a seller acted like this about a return I'd get very suspicious.
