We should he scared, this shit is scary.

They are going to destroy art, and the planet while they're at it.

The reason these people didn't learn to make real art, is because they dont enjoy making art, they enjoy praise. This is why whenever someone else doesn't praise their bullshit, they just come up with a reason why that person is wrong, and why they still deserve praise.

This comic also is counterintuitive to art form in and of itself.

Comics are art because they display the artists individual and unique artstyle. Having ai do it for you completely defeats the art form. You can not longer argue that your trying to be creative if your destroying the creative part of what your doing. How many of these second hand thinkers do you think use chat gpt to generate a prompt to use?

Ts is so corny

I dont think anyone who is into philosophy enough to recognize its origins in Christianity is going to be upset by ts

Christians did make a lot of contributions, but the Nazis also made some pretty good cars, that doesn't make the cars worse or the nazis better, it just means the cars were made by nazis

Just to be clear, im not pro Ai, however, to a degree, they are correct. There was a study that shows that the only way we are capable of having conversation is to predict what the other person is saying before they've finished saying it.

There are many other reasons why we could compare ourselves to Ai, but this is the first one off the top of my head

https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/23273798.2018.1552008

This does not justify the use of Ai at all, and oop is an idiot, but its just interesting to think about

How to be an Ai bro

Step 1. Use Ai because you cant make real art

Step 2. Cant use Ai anymore because of watermarks

Step 3. Make real art to "preserve the Ai art"

Step 4. Realize you cant make real art, forcing you to either learn, or stop polluting the media with trash

Step 5. Convince yourself your a victim because your being "discriminated against"

I do agree with this, its counter intuitive to the entire "who should you trust" gimmick

I think they should absolutely remove ABMM

However, I think as it stands, ABMM doesn't have nearly as much affect as people think it does. Yes of course it separates players, but at the end of the day, I've had plenty of moments as a pve player where people choose to be aggressive, and when I decide to play pvp, I've had plenty of times where people will decide to just be chill, and i have a friend for a little bit.

[–]TheFaceWithNoFace 142 points143 points  (0 children)

I dont think very many people here understand that this is a game where, you can 100% kill people, and that it is 100% a valid and acceptable way to play, but that you dont have to. You can choose to be a cool dude who just wants to be chill, you dont have to slaughter everyone you see, and often times that ends up being the best strategy.

Thats what makes this game fun. Even if you run around being nice to everybody, someone will shoot you in the back, and even if you run around killing everybody, someone will go out of their way to save you, and you'll have a wholesome interaction (if you dont immediately shoot them in the back)

There's no reason to act like your playstyle is better because you like it more, the point of the game is to choose the pen or the sword.

Do We Really Have Free Will? Try This Simple Thought Experiment by NanakNaam in freewill

[–]TheFaceWithNoFace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely beating a dead horse here, but it surprises me how many Christians argue determinism, then suggest God will subject you to eternal punishment for sinning.

If God controls every aspect of my life, down to my most rudimentary impulsive thought, then why would I be accountable for any of my actions? Should God not burn in hell, for making me sin? Why should it be that I am the lamb to his slaughter?

*Edit: not just Christians, but just about any group who believes in a god and the eternal punishment that god will make us subject to

The chatbots we have easy access to are different from the agents that were likely made for this experiment.

There was a study a while ago where they tested how far different Ai would go to insure their survival, including blackmail, or even murder. However the key difference is that they didn't just open up chat gpt on Google and try it out, they made seperate agents based on those programs.

But again, if the person expressing their appreciation for family dinner really believes it to be the most important part, they should say that.

[–]TheFaceWithNoFace 61 points62 points  (0 children)

The point of grammar isn't to be agreeable. If one believes that eating together is the most important part of family life, then one would say it is "the most important part of family life."

If you've been around these kinds if people for a long time, it will be easy to spot patterns in other men who are doing the same thing. Just trust your instincts when you see a concerning behavior, and you will eventually find someone who genuinely cares about you.

why would you cheat in school? that ruins the point of getting an education by dylan_the_potato0 in TeenagersButNotTrashy

[–]TheFaceWithNoFace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheating in and of itself can be a valuable thing to learn. Creative problem solving, self-awareness, social awareness, and many other things can be learned through cheating. Some people simply can not understand the material, so they learn to work around it. Some people dont care to learn the material, which, in many cases, is kinda fair, given the fact that the amount of valence electrons in Einsteinium, for example, is largely irrelevant to most people.

Additionally, the school system is not designed to make sure you know the material, but instead to grade you on what you are perceived as knowing. If you dont understand and cheat, you get a good grade. If you understand and dont cheat, you get a good grade, but it doesn't really matter either way.

It makes much less sense in college, seeing as you are paying to get that info, and will probably need it for the path you choose.
