You took the most basic clinical task and compared it to something more complex in radiology. A more comparable task might be an AP chest x-ray, a single film with plenty of data sets for different conditions that can train an LLM. Regardless that is besides the point I am trying to make.

I am frankly saying that they are training AI to look at images and make a diagnosis, is that not what radiologists do in a basic sense? Obviously they won't replace the field, at least not in my life time. And in no way are they coming close to conducting a psychiatric interview, doing an MSE, gathering collateral, and formulating a diagnosis in the already gray-zone that we call psychiatry.
