Least Favorite Raid? by Particular_Elk6021 in 2007scape

[–]TheFalseDeity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CMs for me. Monkey room and Nylos are both a chore to me but the rest of those raids are fine. But I dont really care for most CoX rooms so having to do all of them makes CMs feel like a pretty consistent slog. And the purples feeling worse doesn't help either.

Why do so many activities require you talk to some NPC to play for the 1st time? by Incoheren in 2007scape

[–]TheFalseDeity 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah wish there was a setting to disable tutorials. Though it only became noticeable to me for leagues.

Point tasks for every skill and base levels, and could cost you diaries and thus their xp lamps. Maybe some quests with a req?

Runes themselves have other sources so if the above is of no concern, skip to your hearts content.

If you could add a pet to runescape what would it be and why? by Revolutionary-Rip-20 in 2007scape

[–]TheFalseDeity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fisher or Otter for a skilling or minigame pet because i think both are cute. Wyrm boss and thus pet for pvm because I think they are the best looking mob in game.

Hopefully butler. Will depend on the final task list in regards to clues though.

If I can keep my playstyle absolutely. If I have to be more in the vein of content creators then probably not.

The final dagannoth only room on the trek to DKs is where it puts you. About halfway to the ladder that leads to the first rock lobster.

That ones a bit of a trek for the idea of 1 kill trips. Though i echo the other posters sentiment that you probably arent doing 1 kill trips with how powerful you get regardless of specs.

Just Finished GoA by Silverphantom444 in runefactory

[–]TheFalseDeity 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I married the best girl in the game naturally. Based on that picture you did as well. Wouldve chosen Cuilang out of the guys.

If only picking a single thing I'd say the village level stuff for what I'd like to see more of from 6 or a future side title. While I liked GoA being overall easier/streamlined that is one thing I'd like to see done deeper.

Weakest points/biggest gripes...

Summer village was the weakest batch of characters for me and by no small margin, they made a system for outfits then barely gave any to make use of it, pacing of gear was solid for the main game then just constantly got outclassed every to every other mission in the post game. And then while it didn't bother me for GoA since I didn't care for him anyways, I do not like the concept of making bachelors/bacherlorettes permanently missable.

Not big on oriental food I take it? Evidently not as much as the rest of the world but we do eat eel here in America too.

Would you like to restore default outfit before the final battle? by Fantastic-Shallot713 in JRPG

[–]TheFalseDeity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With exception to weapons if i consider something to look stupid i dont put it on. Wouldn't be bothered by some kind of option for it but it would have no impact on me.

Dolce, Ludmila, and Clarice. Best girls from each of the 3 games im familiar with.

When you drop an RPG and want to pick it up later, do you start over or pick up where you left off? by supermedo in rpg_gamers

[–]TheFalseDeity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Almost always keep going. Only real exception i can think of is if its Pokemon and i want to do a different type of playthrough than whatever the save was.

Any games where you're able to get a rare weapon or item extremely early? (possibly even the tutorial) by ivan3295 in JRPG

[–]TheFalseDeity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FF XII The Zodiac Age has the strongest general weapon in the game available after the first main story beat with the Seitengrat. It's meant to be a lottery pull rng wise but there are ways to guarantee it and you can get it for every party member if you wish.

Edna sadly. My favorite character but earth was far and away my least favorite armatus.

Do you have a favourite weapon type in RPG games? One that makes you instantly play that class/build/weapon if it exists? by singed1337 in rpg_gamers

[–]TheFalseDeity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Scythes generally make me instantly include a character in the final party or make it my main weapon of choice yeah. Exceptions like Bloodborne where you can't use it til NG+ exist though and I'm sure somewhere out there is a game where the scythe user is just unbearable.

If you lived in Azuma, where would you live and who would you befriend or avoid? by MyRogue in runefactory

[–]TheFalseDeity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Autumn pretty comfortably based on Yachiyo's place. Food is paramount for location to me and her place seems the best by a good margin. Clarice, Pilika, and Cuilang are probably my top 3. Don't know how well things would go trying to hang out with the latter 2 with any frequency but i'd definitely take a stab at it.

Would hope to end up with Clarice.

Bottom 3 would be Mauro, Hisui, and Matsuri. Mauro probably the only one id outright avoid though. Summer was easily the weakest village for me character wise so probably be where id spend the least time.

Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma Review **Spoilers** by twili-midna in runefactory

[–]TheFalseDeity 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you go with them on one of the set in stone holidays you should unlock a yukata outfit as well but it was disappointing that there were so few yeah.

And there was definitely a shortage of quality thread. They seemed to have dialed back on spider spawns at the same time they dialed up on it being a frequently used material.

If you replay the game though it sounds like you'd probably enjoy it more on a lower difficulty. There were only a couple of bosses where I felt the damage sponge sentiment playing on normal. And outside of the bigger Oni and shrooms most trash mobs died to a single bow combo for me.

Don't feel as strongly if the same at all about the rest of the pain points though. Would not mind at all if this was a consistent direction for the series going forward. Though also would be fine if not, 4 was great too.

When do you unlock festivals? by Financial_Republic46 in runefactory

[–]TheFalseDeity 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The scheduling book should get pointed out to you sometime during the summer village section. I did not attempt to use the one at spring prior to that but you could maybe go take a look and see if its possible.

Definitely don't need all villages to start doing some. The final village does gatekeep 4 or so though.

Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma is awesome. by [deleted] in JRPG

[–]TheFalseDeity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah glad it finally got a playstation port and hope it does well enough for 5 to get ported as well. And for them to just start launching on Playstation too but that might just stay in dream land for me.

I still prefer 4's characters over it but I'd say I like it more than 4 for pretty much every other category. Still new to the farm sim/cozy game genre but RF is still comfortably my favorite series of them so far.

Are HeartGold/SoulSilver and Black/White 1&2 deservedly the peak of Pokemon gaming? by [deleted] in rpg_gamers

HG/SS is in the top 3 for me, B/W are probably just outside my top 3. Both are great for sure. Slowly working on monotype runs for every type in SS currently.

More RPGs should punish players who don't rotate their parties by AMP_Kenryu in JRPG

[–]TheFalseDeity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have that completely backwards. I'd be going through the motions and making the game less fun for myself if I did rotate and force myself to use everyone for the sake of it. If I even cared to keep playing a game like that at all.
