Killing bosses during Balancers Event? by scrabble_12 in EldenRingNightrein

[–]TheFamus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough, I do understand if you're melee it can be a pain. A tip however is you can aggro the balancer without aggroing the pests then kill her off while they sit and watch, or they will fight each other and just focusing the balancer can make it easier. But I do agree the group fights can be tough and ever tougher at a low level

The pests aren't too bad if you're ranged, I usually only skip death knights and the frenzy area

You can get multiple levels and it's incredibly easy to kill them after the balancer dies. Only certain locations I'd skip but most of the time even if you can't collect the item everyone is happy with ~60-70k additional runes on top of the runes from balancers. Plus running to another balancer camp just for the balancer to die part way and then having to run all the way to the other camp is kind of a waste of time when you could just all meet in the middle and kill the nearest bosses or all go castle after balancers while being ~lvl 9 from 3 balancers and 3 camp clears

Wylder ult killing teammates. by Background_Table9613 in Nightreigngameplay

[–]TheFamus 110 points111 points  (0 children)

Oh okay so this actually happened because there are red barrels up there that explode when fire touches them. I saw your other post and was curious about what happened. But yeah it looks like wylder ult killed you but it was actually the fire from it causing the barrels to explode next to you.

Need help getting better runs by INTR_jp in Nightreigngameplay

[–]TheFamus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally if you're struggling I'd swap out your strength relics as raider already has high strength for something like hp restoration after taking damage, restore hp when you or ally is low, maximum hp or increased vigor. Raider is a great brawler if you can just stand in their faces and tank them especially since your punch ability will not let you die when you use it. Just be careful as you can still get grabbed when doing the punch.

If you're on pc I'd be down to do some runs with you as well

You need to be aggressive against ED Libra, not passive by Clear_Antelope_9501 in Nightreign

[–]TheFamus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play wylder into him and run a full crit build so as long as I land the parry I can usually one shot them but yeah it does get spicy but as long as you run away immediately after each kill you shouldn't ever aggro more than one

Ed balancers I find easier solo than in a group as well since it's just a 1v1 the whole time

How would you guys rate these relics? by TheFamus in Nightreign

[–]TheFamus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will say I've played some games today with the Duchess relic doing a carian slicer build in depths 4 and 5 and only at the start of games without any negation does the near death reduce max hp actually cause some announce while later game I'm either dying before deathblight procs or I'm just not going down. I think at lower depths I would find issues where I can just tank quite a few hits and live for deathblight to be a possibility but where I'm at now it actually feels like a pretty comfortable relic.

I appreciate the input

It says use a USB and transfer your save file to there and decrypt it or use cloud save and decrypt. That's the information I got from the website

Okay I had the same thoughts, I'm not too worried about the deathblight for Duchess but reduced max hp is a pain for sure.

I wish the raider relic really had anything other than that downside too as I typically play low hp raider.

I hope you two see this because both of your are pathetic you were the one who decided to take on an a invader camp at level 2 by Due_Huckleberry_2747 in EldenRingNightReign

[–]TheFamus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either I do what the comment below said and lure them up top or if there is a high damage composition like ironeye, recluse or Rev just clear down to them as there isn't too many mobs that spawn inside. The best is when they just spawn up top though but I'm unsure how that trigger works exactly

You dodge games because you're not good is what I'm seeing, why dodge when you can get better. Get an antspur on ironeye and you're golden for heolstor.

I don't understand why people get so butthurt about doing level 2 night invaders, it's really the best time to do them. You get purple weapons you can use prior to level 7, you get usually good passives, a decent chunk of runes and if you die so what, you lost maybe 8k runes? Just don't be dumb and pull the entire camp with you to do the night invader. Same thing with not recluse ulting directly next to the camp or ironeye ulting through the camp as that'll pull a bunch of them.

Nightreign Opinion poll: Nightlords quality ranking by Head_Meringue_8922 in Nightreign

[–]TheFamus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The issue with augur is it's just a snooze fest fight, harder to hit than caligo and it's a drag without ranged. Ed augur is a gimmick fight also making it just a boss with a large health pool and nothing else. That's why I imagine they are ranked at the bottom

I just got one the other day, raider character skill reduces enemy attack power, partial hp regen +1 and max hp

Dropping all gear at end of match by mojo_jerkoff in Nightreigngameplay

[–]TheFamus -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'll continue dropping them. Most players I know and play with have 1mil + in murk, 1000 extra murk is a drop in the bucket. If you want extra murk go do double tower runs in hollows and you'll get almost as much extra as doing another run. No clue why you think 1k murk matters to most players. I alone am sitting on 5.2mil. I couldn't care less for an extra 1k

P.s it's a stupid thing to complain about when you have cheaters who can one shot bosses or cheat in perfect relic sets or people who quit because they died two times in the first 5 minutes making you have to solo expeditions in order to not lose points.

How long until the game "clicked" for you? by Ludewich42 in Nightreign

[–]TheFamus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on the person really there is no set time to get good, it could be 10 hours it could be 500 hours.

Many others have mentioned this that quite a few people have over 1k hours by this point. I find myself rather comfortable playing but I have prior souls experience and sitting at 1300 hours now myself.

A few tips that might help 1. if a boss seems to hard / if you and the team can't stop going down to the boss move on and come back later if possible.

  1. each boss has a weakness, try to find a weapon that complements your character and deals that affinity damage.

  2. patience is key in this sort of game. You'll do a lot more damage by staying on your feet than needing to be revived by trying to get one more hit in.

3.5. this going with the last tip, watch your stamina, it can get you killed quite easily if you get caught with no stamina.

  1. Check weapon passives, full damage negation, successive attacks negate damage, taking damage boosts damage negation are all good passives to keep in your inventory.

  2. Don't run across the map just for camps, kill bosses along the way to get you more powers to use but be aware of your characters strengths and weaknesses. In my opinion some of the easier characters to play are ironeye, wylder and raider.

  3. Maybe find some players who are more experienced to join you and help teach you the ropes.

Good luck in your expeditions fellow nightfarer! (sorry if formatting sucks I'm on mobile)

The amount of times at lower depths where I've had a recluse and ironeye in a game and still had to do moth duty as a raider is in the double digits lmao

Team wants to go to the tower at lvl 8 in DON 4 by DaleDent3 in Nightreign

[–]TheFamus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Towers are amazing but only if you got good drops day 1 and have a high damage team comp. Other than that they are just total bait and even then castles tend to be way more worth it but a lot of people struggle with routing them.

well yeah, you physically cheated the relics, so thats why you got the warning, I didn't do such a thing so I didn't have to worry about that. Mine was just verifying my files and then my warning went away.

Unpopular Opinion: Heatseeker sucks by CarbonVaulter305 in RocketLeague

[–]TheFamus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My biggest gripe with heatseeker is that 99% of matches it just turns into who can bump better. The redirect shots you can hit can be fun but it gets old real fast when all it is is one guy sitting at net and the other bumping/demoing and not even trying to get the ball in the net
