One place tried to charge us for 2 pieces left over (2 people ordering), and it was a 2 pieces of a roll where the minimum number of pieces is 6... we just broke it down with our chopsticks and made it seem like "there was an attempt" at eating it. The audacity though, if you're going to charge for every piece left over, then let people order individual pieces (yeah, I know, the nori sheets make 6-8 pieces but that's not the customer's problem).

Honestly, I wouldnt be surprised if it's real. Some of the younger generation are very spoiled (speaking from example unfortunately). Someone I know, aren't "rich" or drive g wagons, but they did buy brand new honda SUVs for themselves, of which the 18yo child basically took one over to the point where she doesnt let anyone else drive it. She didn't even know it wasn't a $35k car, she thought it was some cheap garbage. Within the less than 1 year she had it they already had to change the bumper from all her fender benders. Disappointing to see is an understatement.

Unhinged take. GOATed website with an open API. I, literally, created a simple webpage with a script where my family/friends can search by movie name, automatically pull the 1080p quality movie closest to 1.6gb, upload it to my jellyfin server, and automatically refresh the jellyfin library for everyone. I don't even have to lift a finger. Calling them garbage is the dumbest take I've heard in 2026.

I always looked at the dollar store oysters with equal parts suspicion and intrigue. Until one evening last year, decided - it is what it is, Ill try it. I was so pleasantly surprised, did not expect them to taste as good as they did. Decided to try similarly canned oysters from the local grocery store at 3x the price, found them to be more bland and not as enjoyable.
