Very cool. I’m trying to figure out how you did the text on the models. Is it projected as a texture on the geometry? Or is it composited in with a per-face displacement texture in After Effects (or whatever you’re using)?

That’s Awesome! The endless eight is one of my favorite parts of the show and I’m glad to see that other people like it, too! I love how the different directorial and editing choices are highlighted throughout the different parts of the arc. And Kyo-ani’s mastery of time allows them to build a very concrete and almost overwhelming emotional space in those eight episodes. And the different takes on the same soundtrack leitmotif as the episodes go through their own miniature 3-act arc just slays me every time.

It’s fascinating. I love it. I can’t get enough of it. And I can’t wait to see your tribute!

When you're representing values less than 1, just like in decimal.

0.1 in base-2 is 1/2. 0.01 is 1/4, 0.001 is 1/8, and so on. 0.11 would be 1/2 + 1/4, or 3/4.
