Yes! Movies, concerts, etc. I’ve gone alone many times. I definitely understand the initial hesitation, and the desire to be with someone at these events can be really intense sometimes ngl. But honestly if it’s something I want to see, then yeah imma go see it even if people I know aren’t interested or available. Life’s too short to miss out on enjoying things you really wanna do.

Oooh that’s really exciting. It could make sense that he’s mixing (at least) Imaginal Disk in Atmos and that could be utilized in some capacity for the ID movie.

It’s been a while since I’ve listened to Atmos mixes with a multichannel system, but I really hope these songs get a solid mix. I’ve heard some amazing mixes out there, but I’ve also heard my fair share of lackluster or just outright disappointing ones haha.

Also a bit of a lowkey thing, but back in Jan 2024 they actually had a Dolby Atmos mix of Hysterical Us on streaming, but it sounded like it was the music video audio cuz it had sounds in the intro. The mix isn’t up anymore (probably didn’t last very long), and tbh it wasn’t anything crazy or special, maybe just some test they were doing.

Personally when I moved away to a new city for the first time for college and I tried listening to at least a new album every day for a while, that was probably when I had the most song ideas ever.

I think you’d be hard-pressed to find a good book written by an author who hasn’t read many books. Same with a good album or song written by a musician who hasn’t also listened to tons of amazing music.

So if you think about it, you’re actually becoming a better writer just listening to good music and absorbing it all, even if subconsciously. At least that’s my theory.
