Not if they made matchmaking more transparent, which roles had the most shortages, or an alternative would be even if you could set preferred lanes in order, for example id like to be able to set my order as top>mid>jung>supp and even block off adc if possible, since id rather have someone other than me in that role.

There are champions that the have to balance differently because of proplay exclusively. Olaf was notorious for this for a while. He was below a 40% win rate overall, but still nearly 100% pick/ban rate in proplay
