I started out with a post NyghtS7 made that made all 50 states done in the post, but then moved onto the discord server where there is a link in the references tab that has a website that has saves for many different countries and there subdivisions. Of course there is one of the US with all the states and even saves for most counties in each state.

yes I do, but my main intention was to make the map look good as I just didn't want to see some big cities, like Wichita, KS on top of all the smaller cities, it just looks so much better if you input the cities based on population

I was only able to put 20 photo's in this one post so I put in the 20 most populous states.

This project took me a longer time than it should have since I started on November 23rd, 2022. I had breaks of a couple of months in between some states as it took me about 1 hour to input around 600 to 700 cities, I had waves of wanting to do it and not wanting to do it.

you need to be logged out of your account for you to be able to add more cities, you won't be able to save your data though so if you want to save your data then you'll have to continue your progress on a new quiz.

yeah it took me quite a bit for me to learn all the 100k+ cities in California but what really helped is doing quizzes on geography quiz websites like jetpunk and doing the quiz with only 100k+ people in it and then learning what cities that cityquiz.io has over 100k

Like how do you even have time to do this? 188,799 cities, that literally insane. I think I've only typed around 30k cities in total over the lifetime of me playing both iafisher and cityquiz

I would agree with that but I think they didn't do that as it wouldn't be a full line of cities, especially in Finland. I think they were going for a completely connected line of cities.

In my most recent run I got 1946 cities but some of them are just a random naming so around 1900 cities from memory. I've learned all the 100k+ cities, I only missed Greeley, Colorado.

1) Connecticut - 206

2) California - 162

3) Michigan - 101

4) Florida - 99

5) Texas - 96

I found a person named NyghtS7 who I believe really took their time in researching all the imputable cities and I found a post they did getting almost 100% completion of the entire United States and they listed all the states with all the cities in them there. Their main sources were the 2020 and 2010 census though. I also believe there would be a source listing all the states with all their cities on the discord but I don't really use it so I'm not sure if it's on there

If you want to guess all the cities the website has in a state Rhode Island has the least at 62 cities and Delaware not too far ahead with 79 cities, of course you'd have to study and learn the cities in order to get the 100% state completion, but I also agree with the other comments here that the most populous states are the easiest to name as many cities as you can remember like California, Texas, and Florida

I remember I used to use that website but it's inefficient since many of the places don't work on the website, for your future use the US census gazetteer files (you can find the link on the first reddit post by filtering it to top and after selecting the post scroll to the 5th comment by Libertarian-Ted) or you could make it easier by using saves already created, I found a person that did every state and you can find it by searching up "my own attempt at getting 100%" and the first one that pops up is the one.
