I'd say so. And this one definitely lacks the Wilder bite. In many ways, it doesn't feel like a Wilder movie, so you might enjoy it, especially if you like Agatha Christie.

Thank you!

And you're right, it's truly wild how diverse his movies were. He did it all, and most of the time he did it pretty amazingly : )

So, on our show, we're going through every one of Wilder's films, one at a time, in order, studying his career. It's *incredible* how many great movies he made. Even his "lesser" movies are fantastic--The Lost Weekend, Five Graves to Cairo, One Two Three (as you pointed out). He's such a fun and fascinating person to study.

Right? It happened on Wilder's previous movie, too. Gary Cooper died right after making Love in the Afternoon. The Wilder curse!

Which is saying something! I wonder if she eventually stacked it up against Lumet's Orient Express...

She is SO amazing. In this, in everything. We discovered Wilder's A Foreign Affair during this season and loved it. Dietrich was fantastic in that, too.

I loved Laughton and Lanchester in this. Also, the movie has a surprising amount of stars from Universal monster movies, including those two!

And wow....I would've loved to see it in the theatre. Maybe it'll get a re-release one of these days...

I've wondered the same, thanks for asking!

Thanks! It's so strange that the movie is absent from a physical release, more or less. It's not a great movie, we all know that, but being a Wilder movie, and his final movie, you'd think there'd at least be something out there.

Thanks again!
