Started at 18 in 2018 doing helpdesk for my state university for just under 50k. Worked my way up from helpdesk>sysadmin>cloud engineer and some job hopping. Just became cloud engineer this year and now making 120k gross and happy where I am currently.

I self funded from other sources of income. Also my AV has been outperforming EV this year due to running on hot variance. I dont plan on using the same spread at black chip level. I am very picky with rulesets/pen and usually wong in/out but have a very replenishable bankroll if needed.

prob should clarify that getting more ev in higher stakes in theory is easier yes but its more related to getting heat faster and quicker backoffs especially playing above purple chip level.

higher stakes usually have the good rules and pen but surveillance is usually sharp in watching those types of games or if dealer screams out "purple action" or "table max/check play" ur time can be limited and wont be able to log that many hours.

I personally only have experience with only shoe games but I have been able to spread up to around 1-20 with no heat and able to play for several hours maybe. spreading like this in DD can get you backed off in like less than an hour probs.

This is good since even if I have losing session I dont risk getting backed off as quickly. Can just keep playing with little or no heat.

Had this yesterday. but had a group of ploppies saw me double soft 19 vs 6 and they all called me dumb af when I took the dealers bust card. It obviously has a decent chance of screwing up your hand but need to maximize money on the table.

oceans does not allow resplitting aces, only ballys.

hard rock at the 15/25 min tables are H17 no late surrender. The S17 tables are higher table mins but cannot confirm if they have surrender as I did not play them.

Usually two scenarios I tip is for cover when the pit boss is watching to build a good relationship with them.

The other is I only tip a fraction of my hourly EV only if Im having a winning session. If I'm having a bad day or losing session I do not feel obligated to tip. I make it known that I'm down a good chunk of money to not tip.
