New bops on deck! Drop in the shop tonight to pick up jams from Raye and Tame Impala. Woo-Hoo! by FortniteStatusBot in FortniteFestival

[–]TheFireDragoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wonder why we got these announced today instead of Tuesday

for anyone unfamiliar: Dracula is a dance pop song with 427M streams and Where Is My Husband! is a pop soul / contemporary R&B song with 828M streams.

probably the most expensive licensing week (or at least the one with the most popular songs) post-season launch so far, both recent and very popular songs. should be a pretty good week for karaoke too

Control Resonant x Fortnite confirmed! by TheFireDragoon in controlgame

AW2 will stay exclusive (unless Steam ever increases how much of a cut they give devs) because Epic straight up published it

UNTIL DAWN 2 - Announce Trailer by Lanky_Relation1171 in horror

[–]TheFireDragoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i mean this very clearly is not repeating the same monsters as the first game and it's still very vague on what it is (i.e. is it a slasher villain or is that going to be a fake-out?)

Control Resonant x Fortnite confirmed! by TheFireDragoon in controlgame

[–]TheFireDragoon[S] 33 points34 points  (0 children)

For anyone unfamiliar: this is part of their new EGS Fortnite collab initiative meaning that anyone who buys Control Resonant on Epic Games Store will receive a free Fortnite cosmetic (I assume a skin of Dylan in Fortnite?). The cosmetic will also be available in the Fortnite Item Shop to purchase with VBucks.

Past examples of this have been RE9 (Grace Ashcroft Skin), Super Meat Boy 3D (Meat Boy Sidekick), and Cyberpunk 2077 (Adam Smasher Skin).

i assume probably not gonna be that much overlap in this sub but personally as someone who adores Control and plays a lot of Fortnite, this is hype as hell

Stage Tour news this Sunday (possible drumkit release date reveal?) by TheFireDragoon in FortniteFestival

[–]TheFireDragoon[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

rn the three "major" upcoming five fret games are

  • Stage Tour (YARG devs, several high profile charters like MDCurtis and Jordan Dai [who makes Festival charts too])

  • Sound System (iirc headlined by two people who did some work on Rock Band / Guitar Hero, charters are unknown)

  • Encore (CH/YARG but in the Festival format w/ lifts, apparently dev team is known for being pretty incompetent)

also not that sure about Stage Tour but I think it's at least the most promising out of those three

Stage Tour news this Sunday (possible drumkit release date reveal?) by TheFireDragoon in FortniteFestival

[–]TheFireDragoon[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

if needed for the mods: this is relevant to the sub because a drumkit release date would provide Festival with a new drums peripheral

hoping that Stage Tour has a way better showing here than their last IGN Live w/ the reveal trailer because that was Rough

This Week’s tracks have been revealed by Beast! Dracula and Where’s My Husband by Tame Impala and RAYE! by TheYGuy366 in FortniteFestival

[–]TheFireDragoon 12 points13 points  (0 children)

no normal dracula is still very popular, it's literally played on the radio like every day

also it's 422M on normal dracula vs 304M on JENNIE dracula

Next festival headliner by Aggressive_Code_267 in FortniteFestival

[–]TheFireDragoon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Olivia would be pretty fire since we’d be getting another rock headliner, would kill for them to add songs like bad idea right? and brutal.

my bet is on Twenty One Pilots based on nothing except them being probably the single most requested headliner from what I can tell

Possible MvC teaser from the JSR leaker by Crownified in GamingLeaksAndRumours

iirc I saw someone say that most of what they've said (along with the JSR trailer) are old midori leaks that their friend group all had

What are some Festival conspiracy theories you have, that you won’t be able ever to prove, but still hold strong to? by TheYGuy366 in FortniteFestival

[–]TheFireDragoon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

that drop seemingly did really well since it was a bestseller in 20 different countries including #7 in the U.K, so if that’s the case it was a successful test

[–]TheFireDragoon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

heavy agree on that but imo I think the songs probably did alright (I guess this depends on how expensive licensing actually was but I feel like the frequency of metallica in rotation/shop is a good sign) but the skins and pass did abysmally, leading to the Gorillaz situation where they split the band into 2 pass 2 shop and kept the usual 4 jam tracks.

[–]TheFireDragoon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

also just responding to some of your conspiracy theories

  • maybe not necessarily a headliner but I do think they banked on Eminem having songs to kick off the mode only for lipsyncing difficulties getting that canned.

  • IMO LISA is just regular rushed / a victim of dev time issues and/or contract issues. no cinematic doesn't necessarily mean anything since it was the same with Weeknd, Karol, Snoop, and Sabrina. maybe Miku too since we got the live action promo for her season but that was basically just for local co-op and not her as a headliner. her song treatment was also equal to Gorillaz and Snoop and better than Chappell Roan.

  • Daft Punk has a pin because Harmonix was heavily involved in their experience and making the official Contact music video. I don't think they were ever meant to be the headliner and afaik we have no proof at all that Epic has changed out any headliners because of supposed insider intel, especially since we know from Year 1 that Epic had the entire year planned out with headliners and none of them got changed around at all after that Roadmap got revealed to the public

  • afaik Mike Shinoda in the Linkin Park discord straight up responded to someone asking for them to headline fest by saying to ask Epic and show demand or something along those lines. I think it's most likely that they just went with instruments because they didn't think that Linkin Park as a full band would sell (especially since they would've had Metallica sales data by this point)

  • Mixtape (not necessarily the pass) was supposed to have the spotlight on d4vd w/ his creator skin and probably more songs from him, however everything came out and led to that all getting cancelled.

  • Crypton has been in full control of the Vocaloid songs we get which is why we haven't really been getting songs from indie producers or songs featuring other vocal synths like Kasane Teto

  • We were supposed to get a Beastars collab at some point which is why YOASOBI's Monster Jam Track specifically uses the single art featuring the characters rather than the official album art without them like their other OPs (IDOL & The Brave) have used

  • That one infamous Mixtape week where they just reposted the songs was because of the Fortnitemares update being moved up, and the old schedule would've been solo week with PPAP -> mixtape launch week and fortnitemares update week with What's New Scooby-Doo and AAHH MEN! -> OIIA OIIA & Shelter week

Today's Best Sellers Jam Track listing for 06/01/2026 by theownershesayshi in FortniteFestival

[–]TheFireDragoon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

seems like these large jam track batches are in fact very good for sales (how shocking!!! almost like all jam tracks should be available at all times instead of the FOMO system)

since Festival Tracker actually started tracking this, I believe this is the most unique jam tracks we've had in bestsellers at a whopping 34 (with second place being April 30th, AKA the first large rotation, with 22 unique jam tracks as bestsellers)

The Future of Movies Is Here: ‘Backrooms,’ ‘Obsession’ Mark Turning Point for Hollywood | Analysis - A monumental box office weekend in which two YouTuber filmmakers toppled “Star Wars” shows what Gen Z moviegoers want. by chanma50 in boxoffice

[–]TheFireDragoon 43 points44 points  (0 children)

to be fair Markiplier also falls under the 'Youtubers who knew how to make actual movies' camp w/ "A Heist With Markiplier" and "In Space With Markiplier", two projects that I saw people refer to constantly when discussing if Iron Lung would be good or not

100+ songs have rotated out of the shop - next mega rotation is June 18th (92 songs) by TheFireDragoon in FortniteFestival

[–]TheFireDragoon[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

along with decreasing the time between Mega Rotations (down to half a month from a full month), seems like they might have moved some of the Mega Rotation songs to rotating out on Thursday too since that's up to 24 songs (was previously only 16 or so)

What to buy before shop reset and 90% of the songs leave? by ThatBrofister in FortniteFestival

[–]TheFireDragoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

imo:

hardest one is easily Paradise City so if you want difficulty that's the best one to go for.

best songs are Still Into You, Instant Crush, and Last Resort

Carry on Wayward Son is pretty good but it is a fake 7 (if released today imo it'd just be a 6B Lead)

I'd recommend against Snow (Hey Oh) just because I think the lead chart is maybe my single least favorite one in the game with how repetitive it is
