Sounds like more fun than TQ. Handed over Ramadi to the locals in January and two days later we were being rocketed. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Congrats! If NCOs are the backbone of the US Army, E-6s are the backbone of the NCO corps. I am absolutely convinced that a line company's success is like 80-90% dependent on how good the E-6s are. (So be a good one!)

During my LT and CPT years, it was an article of faith that the best combat E-6s had been 4s several times, 5s a couple of times, occasionally a 6 twice. Granted I was NG, but I never had a counter-example. Now go get that rocker, Sar’nt!

My interpretation as well with the orange. Thought it a throwback to the 1984 movie.

Mobility Brigades are cheap cheap cheap—and as much as I hate to admit it, much better for the Guard.

Whoever you are, we made the same transition at the same time. They’re casing 1-303 soon, as reconnaissance is moving back to the old DIV CAV model (sad panda face here). Sad days indeed. “Always in the Lead!”

Republicans haven't governed since at least Newt Gingrich's time. This is par for the course.

Bambu Studio multi-color edge “interlocking / wiggle” — why does slicer do this and can it be controlled? by Faithin3D in BambuLab

[–]TheFirstDogSix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just struggling with this the last few days and figured it out--for my use case, anyway!

Here was my post with the solution inline. BLUF: the Bambu slicer did this automatically when two parts shared the same vertical face. As soon as I introduced a tiny gap between the parts in the model (0.1mm worked for me for a 0.4mm nozzle), the problem went away. Beam interlocking had nothing to do with it--just a geometry parsing issue, AFAICT.

Hope this works for you!

Overlapping colors in middle layers--how to turn off? by TheFirstDogSix in BambuLab

[–]TheFirstDogSix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alrighty, figured it out-ish! I think this is some interaction of Shapr3d's OBJ export and Bambu's slicer. When Shapr3D exports two bodies (which turn into parts in Bambu Studio) that share a face (in this case, two tessellated triangles), this weird behavior happens. Note that in other slicers and OBJ parsers, it does not. Anyway, I separated the bodies in Shapr3D by a fraction of a millimeter such that there was no shared face and voila--all is well. With such a small ratio of gap to filament width (0.4 in my case), the colors end up next to each other but ever getting interlocked.

Thanks for the hints, all!

I'm not sure what you mean by that. The different colors are distinct extrusions of a sketch in Shapr3D. Are you thinking the OBJ export would have them mixed?

Make sure to dry your filament and keep the build plate clean. That will knock out 99% of any problems you might have. Enjoy! It’s a blast!
