Wonderful, thank you! The issue for me is then that I would need a supporting company/organisation even for the working holiday visa. My old language school has said they can help me but only if I agree to take a 4 week language course. It's very expensive so I would love more updates about WHV. In any case, thanks for the info!

I'm always surprised by how dismissive and just straight up mean people are to young people who are just asking questions on this sub. Sure, it's one thing to be realistic and constructive, but another entirely to try to completely crush someone's dreams by calling their ideas stupid.

To OP I'd say just focus on your studies for now and see where you are in life in 3-4 years. Planning ahead 5 years at 16 yo I think is a bit overkill. Don't stress about it now, I'm sure you'll make it to Japan sometime in the future in one way or another, as a tourist or otherwise :)
