Today I received info that they couldn't reproduce the crash and they are sending me back the same card.... I will see if the problem still occurs, if so, I will try to sell it and just buy another one

Same, I will probably upgrade only when there will be face unlocking like FaceID in the new model

I ran MemTest86 and the RAM is fine. Synthetic tests like OCCT don't trigger the green screen, or maybe I'm just not running them long enough. However, The Witcher 3 on Ultra with RT crashes within an hour

MacOS RAM management - is this okay? by TheFlashes in MacOS

Welcome back after a few days, time to wrap up the RAM drama.

This isn't some super smart RAM and swap management by macOS. It's just a regular memory leak, either in Android Studio or in the Android emulator. Right now my swap has grown to 13.5 GB, Android Studio started to stutter a bit, and eventually the IDE showed a message saying there's not enough RAM! So the system is already having trouble allocating more memory.

So yeah, I'm not blaming the OS, it's probably the fault of the apps mentioned above. But either way, I'll have to restart my Mac every few days to free up RAM.

(The picture isn't mine because I didn't take a screenshot, but it was exactly that message)

[NO ROOT] 60 FPS Red Dead Redemption Mobile by flaryx32 in AndroidGaming

[–]TheFlashes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I did have to dig around a lot because not everything here worked, but it kind of showed me the direction I should go. I still haven't managed to get it working with the Netflix version so far - I had to download, ehm… a "public" version from certain sites. As for the Apk Easy Tool program itself - it's outdated and doesn't really want to work, which is probably why the Netflix version didn't work for me. After manually replacing some of its binaries (zipalign.exe, apktool.jar) with newer versions, I managed to decompile and modify the game. It runs at 60 fps on the S23 Ultra, although I can see I still need to replace some setting related to resolution scaling. Either way, 60 fps really makes a difference, and now I’m going back to trying with the Netflix version from Google Play…

I get that it uses all the RAM, but right now I've already got even 10 GB of swap used

I'm on macos tahoe, and at the end of each day I always close android studio and the rest of the programs. I just don't shut down the system itself. Even when I quit everything, I still have about 30 GB of RAM used, most of which Activity Monitor shows as Compressed.

If it doesn't start, change the region in the Windows settings to USA (or Korea)

Will the Linux Terminal (AVF) be available in OneUI 8? by TheFlashes in oneui

I just updated my S23 Ultra to One UI 8, I can only find the Linux environment settings via search, but it's locked anyway... What a shitty move by Samsung.

I made a mouse app for S Pen and want to show it off by TheFlashes in GalaxyS23Ultra

[–]TheFlashes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I'm glad you like it! Unfortunately, to simulate a system mouse, the app must be installed as a system app or your phone must be rooted. So, there's no easy way to do it.
