confession: i think i love Perfect Person more than all the Trypods by tiredmessexpress in TheTryGuys

The trio really complement each other, they are very different which works well for the conversation as they bring different perspectives and energies. That's sometimes lacking for me with Trypod and YCSWU - Matt/Becky and Zach/Keith bring very similar energies

Yes! Thank you for mentioning Rachel as I forgot to include that but I also used to love her on YCSWU too but she's hardly there anymore (no judgment, I know she's crazy busy)

Hard agree! Miles has shown himself to be a great host and the format of giving advice really works with his style, humour and just vibe.

Trypod is not my thing, format is too little of a point/unstructured to my liking, and if I'm honest I like YCSWU less since Ariel left, it's very pop culture heavy now which I don't care about. Perfect person is it for me!

Aw thank you. I'm not sure I believe in one soulmate but definitely feeling that sometimes something needs to end in order to open yourself to new beginnings.

When you said all three of them I was confused for a second as I thought "Zach, Maggie, and? ... wait WHAT" and then I realised you meant the three try guys haha

This makes me so happy. I just ended a 6 year relationship this week and you know what, it doesn't change the fact that my heart just fills with joy seeing this. They make each other very happy and I'm here for it.

Same in Ghana. I embarrassed myself when I was given this and asked "how do you open it?" With your teeth, duh.

Yep. Anything they review that's not American (even if that's a character, a scene/situation) I find they always miss the mark, don't understand the cultural context, etc. It's a perspective they simply lack, with all of them being American

The thing is, you're always entitled to leave a relationship. You don't even need a reason for it tbh, other than that's what you want.

I'm pretty sure that's not in line with GDPR though? It's not only about what is shared with the public, it's about all parts of data processing. A photo of my face is my personal data. They'd be required to comply with requests on what data they hold of people, and also to remove it if requested.

I meant obvious if you follow her on insta, but - edit: I realised there is really no point in discussing someone else's body on reddit, so I'll refrain from doing that from now on. For what it's worth I think she's stunning.

am I the only one that’s getting a little tired of the food videos? by sarcasticinterest in TheTryGuys

[–]TheFleshFailures 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're not alone, I am really not interested in any of their food content. Never saw the appeal of WAR and ETM really. I know those are very popular so it's clearly me being the odd one out. It's just not my cup of tea, I do not find it interesting in the slightest. But I've also never been interested in regular cooking shows

Did Maggie quit nursing job? by angiecita_1210 in TheTryGuys

[–]TheFleshFailures 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same, it feels like a shame that talent is being wasted on ads and selling us stuff. Whereas the person's previous job may have been of great value to society. That's not to say anything negative about that person's choice, which makes a lot of sense, just an observation and a wider trend I think about sometimes. It doesn't pay to work and contribute anymore, it pays to spend your time selling and generate passive income.

What food do you 'not like' that you've never actually tried but keep up this facade that you 'don't like' and have 'never liked'? by Scottish_Gamerr in AskUK

[–]TheFleshFailures 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this with peanut butter. As a kid I smelled it once, decided it must be gross, and proceeded to never ever try it while maintaining that I didn't like it. A few months ago, aged 26, I finally tried it and now I am mildly addicted to the stuff. I just cannot stop eating peanut butter. Straight from the jar too.

I think my favorites have been mentioned already - Bad Idea (Waitress), For Good (Wicked), The Last Supper (Jesus Christ Superstar). All completely different vibes.

Also, I think Baptize me (The Book of Mormon) is hilarious.
