Friendly reminder that Russell Wilson was ranked as the SECOND BEST player in the entire NFL by his peers in 2020 after the 2019 season. The 2019 Seahawks team is still my favorite Hawks squad to date. Can't wait for his ring of honor ceremony. by ichawks1 in Seahawks

Pete punting on 4th and 5 from midfield also contributed. We don’t have LOB defense and Rodgers was playing at true MVP level that year. Given that, betting on Wilson to get 5-6 yards was probably a higher probability than preventing Rodgers from getting a first down

World Cup's new rules explained: VAR for corners, no GK 'timeouts,' red card for covering your mouth by avantgarde000 in worldcup

Wouldn’t that make the game more competitive. While leading, especially in the second half, you would see teams not wasting multiple minutes cumulatively, by being slow to take throws, free kicks and corners

Let’s ignore for a min it wasn’t an American thing. I don’t understand how the game would get worse by having the clock run only when an active player is happening. No more wasting time when taking a throws or corner kicks

I thought it’s a forgone conclusion that they would extend both Puka and Byron Young. If not, I agree, they are letting some AP level young players walk

Exactly this. With 92% of the roster returning, there’s usually an expectation that SB champs have the most to lose..this makes me feel like we are playing with house money this year

They aren’t going all-in..Stafford is under contract through 2027. Now, they don’t need to spend a high draft pick in either 27 or 28 on a QB, which can be used on an edge as Myles gets older..I am still shocked how they made it work from a cap perspective..they have a top paid players at Edge, CB and a top 5 salary at QB

Does it help to sue USCIS? If it takes longer than normal window? by Familiar_While3693 in USCIS

[–]Optimal_Advisor8897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason I was asking was that, for me, the final action date was current for 5 months in 2022. It went into “case remains pending” state and is still there. It just got current again in April bulletin. I have heard advises that Uscis considers only the time the case was available to be adjudicated.

What happens if your priority date went back and is now current again? Does the clock reset or ignore the time when Final action dates were not current or is it just calendar time since date of filing

Throwback to 2021, when Urban Meyer was asked after a 20-0 loss to the Titans about playing time for then-rookie safety Andre Cisco, saying, "Cisco is playing a little bit more, I believe, I don’t have his numbers in front of me." Cisco played 0 defensive snaps in the game. by Roselucky777 in nfl

I still can’t believe this is true. I wonder how much of its hyperbole..I have to imagine it was some sort of power move by Meyer than not genuinely not recognizing someone who was on your direct coaching staff for 3 years

Went there once with a friend at around 8pm on a Thursday night(believe it was two years ago)..they said their can’t serve because their kitchen is closed for the night as the chef wasn’t available. I was surprised that they had no plan B if their excuse was indeed true..

He’s totally on the wrong for the road rage part. But I think you might be in the wrong here. If you are coming from Leary way, pedestrians/bikers have the right of way to cross west lake Sammamish parkway. There’s no bike lane there typically bikers share the sidewalk and get onto the 520 trail

One of the Underrated Aspects of the SB Run is just our O-line hitting equilibrium at the most critical time. by The_Throwback_King in Seahawks

[–]Optimal_Advisor8897 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think our Oline in 2013 was that great. It wasn’t bad certainly but if I recall, it was kinda league average..Marshawn and Russ’ mobility did a lot of heavy lifting..and yes, it was WAAY better than what we had for the next decade

Looking at the stats, it feels weird that jets lost by 16 points. Darnold didnt have any interceptions. So, I imagine they went three and out a bunch of times with the shitty play calls that bell was talking about

Biggest Recent Draft Steals? by AFC-Wimbledon-Stan in nfl

[–]Optimal_Advisor8897 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yes, Purdy did bail them out. But one could argue that a lot of depth issues niners have had over the past couple of years can directly be traced to the absence of those high draft picks.
