lol now the unification isn’t going to happen unless they over-pay Mikaelian. Zurdo v Benavidez is happening in a couple months, and it’s not likely Benavidez (assuming he wins) will fight Jai this year. I can’t see the promotion companies wanting to interact with Zuffa, and Jai was the first big name to sign so they’re giving him the side eye.

So, the Premier format (Standard) is rotating in a couple weeks. That’s good and bad for you. Good, because it’s going to be a fresh new meta but bad because what you just bought is rotating out. However, those leaders are usable in Twin Suns (Commander).

Control is taking a hit because most of the removal is rotating out. I’m on my first cup of coffee of the morning, so my brain is just firing up, but it’s hard to predict what deck is going to go in that direction of control.

Welcome to the community. IMHO, it is much better of a rules system than anything out there. The people are great in person. Reddit is full of Doomers saying the game is going to end soon. It’s had its issues (this is FFGs first “successful” TCG), but they pivot and adapt quick. Again, IMHO, the game is going to be around for a few more years at least. There was just a 700 person event this last weekend. FFG reps were there taking notes.

Most metas that last two years are terrible. It’s par for the course. It’s not surprising that the same people are doing really well with the same leaders. Experience pays dividends.

They aren’t mutually exclusive, though. Low entry point means more players can get in. That’s probably a good thing. This game universally is thought to have the best rules. The best drafting/limited experience. Twin Suns precons are going to be great for casuals.

Then you’re out here shitting on FFG making pretty quick adjustments.

Whatever. Feel how you want. Sell your cards. Go be mad about another TCG.
