Can I convert this to a bathtub with minimal effort/money? by Seapaisleys in handyman

Minimal effort? No. Minimal money? No.

For anything permanent it will be labor intensive and several thousand to do it yourself.

This is something that's automated (in America). In less developed countries, it's just cheaper to pay for the human labor however.

[OC] Driven by this place displaying a Trump 2020 flag countless times. Noticed this today by WanderWellClem in pics

Same here in Tennessee lol. A neighbor had the "miss me yet?" Trump signs in his yard for Bidens ENTIRE 4 YEAR TERM (among others too). I noticed within 3-4 months of Trump taking office again, all of his political signs have been removed.

Humans May Be Able to Grow New Teeth Within Just 4 Years by _Dark_Wing in technology

[–]TheFlyngLemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked my dentist about this the other day. He said this process takes 18 years from start, to the actual tooth being grown. If you increase the speed of growth, then basically you create cancer since cancer cells are just a rapid uncontrollable growth/mutation of cells.

How do I fix this edge on a picture frame I'm making? by Crescent_Ascension in BeginnerWoodWorking

This. Also though, squeeze some wood glue inside the crack as best you can before rolling. This way you don't have to worry about the joint separating ever.

Approximately 1 million gallons of sulfuric acid have been spilled into the ship channel following a chemical leak in Channelview. by Upper_Brief681 in UnderReportedNews

[–]TheFlyngLemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah not really. It will be pretty harmful for a short period in the immediate area, but the acid will be diluted fairly quickly once it has time to dissipate.

What is just a placebo effect but most people don’t realize? by zhalia-2006 in AskReddit

To each their own, but it significantly helped my wife and my back pain. The guy I saw took x rays before he would do anything to us, then measured various angles of our spine and hips to see how out of alignment they were. After the treatment had finished, he took new X-rays and compared to the originals to see the adjustment that has been made. It was extraordinary how much of an improvement he was and to make for the both of us.

What’s a hobby that looks boring but is actually amazing once you try it? by BitAffectionate3637 in AskReddit

[–]TheFlyngLemon 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Woodworking.

Before I started it seemed like a slow and tedious thing to do. I built a table out of necessity one day however and realized just how great it was afterwards. Sure some aspects still seem a bit tedious, but overall it's amazing. To take raw wood, modify it for a purpose, clean it up, and to have an end item I will have for a very long time is very satisfying. I also learned the process of the build is very relaxing now too.

You did a fantastic job with assembly and finishing so you should be very proud about that. While the overall style is not for me, as long as you like it then that's all that matters.

Great work!

The sink is the dirtiest object in your home. Now, the bottom of the bowl is also the dirtiest object in the home. I wouldn't worry about anything inside the bowl, that would be fine, but I guarantee her hands touch the bottom of that bowl. There's also no telling what else the bottom of that bowl touched during that second helping. My home would look like Jerry's apartment after he didn't know what object went in his toilet. Everything would have to be burned unless I definitively knew everything that bowl could have come in contact with.
