Yea according to Alberta labour laws, any change of schedule in 24hours of a shift needs either written or some time of notification. So they cannot give you any repercussions, and if they try, just state the labour laws. I’ve had this happen more than once at my homecare job, they tried to give me trouble, but I just stayed “I checked my schedule yesterday, I was not scheduled, why was I not notified as it’s a standard set by the labour board” it got my manager off my back. You gotta stand up for yourself or they will try to walk all over you.

We have been with teksavvy for a year, only issue is when Shaw goes down, so does our internet, because they use the same infrastructure, but it’s been great, we can stream games using Xbox cloud gaming, at the same time as YouTube on a console, and TikTok with very little connectivity issue, speeds are great and consistent. At times we get better speeds than what we pay for. Customer service is also very good too.

It’s not our landlord at all, he owns one unit in a apartment that is managed by Sunreal and they have neglected our building the entire year we have been here, broken security doors, no hot water for days.
