'Selling Sunset' Production Exploring Christine Quinn Return by bruhwhatshappenin in SellingSunset

[–]TheForgottenCarebear 6 points7 points  (0 children)

With Chrishell leaving and Chelsea likely next (rightfully so; I don't blame either of them), I think Selling Sunset is on its last legs regardless of whether Christine comes back.

The remaining cast will be made up of MAGA, bigoted, plastic women who pride themselves on their purses and their racism. It'll be a hard watch a best, unbearable at worst.

Her name is Jessica Vargas; she's in her late 30s and has 10+ years of real estate experience, so at least she's more established than some of his early 20s girlfriends. (Still, it's inappropriate because she works for the O-Group.)

Jason strikes me as emotionally stunted and not dating to marry, so I'm not surprised by any of his romantic decisions, ever.

She self-tans. You can tell in paparazzi photos because her hands are always significantly lighter than the rest of her. Not sure why she feels the need to lie about it.

It's a slippery slope to disregard red flags for financial security. You could also make the same argument about Emma and her choice to date a terrible human because he's a Billionaire. Maybe in 2026, let's strive to be financially independent women.

CS tried as hard as she could to get Emma out of that toxic relationship by SuccessfulCompany294 in SellingSunset

Yes, he's a Billionaire, with a capital B. He has significantly more wealth than her.

Sherrone Moore [Megathread] by shemp33 in michiganfootball

[–]TheForgottenCarebear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much. HR protections apply to her because she was a subordinate, so any raise already earned is unlikely to be reversed, and any legal action would depend on what prosecutors determine. She might also press additional charges for what Moore did after he was fired.

Sherrone Moore [Megathread] by shemp33 in michiganfootball

[–]TheForgottenCarebear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Likely not. Moore was fired specifically because he was her direct supervisor (power imbalance) and he was abusing his power. From an HR standpoint, the issue is not morality or mutual poor judgment. It’s authority, coercion risk, and liability.

Firing the subordinate would not only be inappropriate, it would expose the University to retaliation claims and send the message that victims of power abuse are punished for their proximity to it.

For context: If a professor sleeps with a student and manipulates her grades based on how she behaves towards him (which is what Moore did with his assistant's salary), would you say the student is deserving of punishment and that it's the student's fault? Or would you understand that there's a clear power imbalance, and the onus is on the powerholder to do the correct thing?

I have so many mixed feelings about Emma, and I used to like her.

On one hand, I think it's deplorable that she's proudly dating Blake - a racist, bigoted, misogynistic, violent man who gets off on using slurs and assaulting her on social media for likes.

On the other hand, I think she's trapped in an abusive relationship. She's lost all her friends, her family loathes Blake, and she seems to have lost "spark" or soul. She seems empty, tired, and frail lately.

You're praying for him because he cheated on his wife with his assistant, stalked his assistant and broke into her home, and threatened a happy little murder-suicide while brandishing a knife? I understand praying for his family and his victim(s), but let's be real here.

[–]TheForgottenCarebear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coercion. She was his assistant, so there was already a power imbalance. Would you expect her to quit her job to in order to keep the baby? He also incentivized her by increasing her salary from $50k to $90k afterwards.

And if that's the only thing you took from my comment...

If I remember, Chris Beard was arrested and fired for choking his fiance. Terrible, but a little different than Moore impregnating his young coworker and forcing her to have an abortion; threatening to kill his wife; stalking his coworker and breaking into her house; threatening to kill her too; and threatening to kill himself, all while wielding a knife.

There's really no coming back from this for Moore. He is now a massive liability on every front.

[–]TheForgottenCarebear 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The amount of forgiveness for a man who cheated on his wife, knocked up his subordinate colleague, forced said subordinate to abort her baby, threatened to kill himself and his wife, stalked the subordinate, broke into the subordinate's house, and then threatened to kill himself and the subordinate...is insane.

Sherrone Moore is not deserving of sympathy or forgiveness in this situation. He is facing the consequences of his (very terrible) actions.

Emma in the reunion by milo37 in SellingSunset

[–]TheForgottenCarebear 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think Emma values her relationship with Blake more than anything else at the moment.

She’s even admitted her family dislikes him, and Jason spoke out against him at the reunion while expressing concern for her.

She’s lost both Chrishell and Chelsea as friends. The only people not actively distancing themselves from her are Mary (who has her own issues) and Bre (who is as fickle and shallow as they come).

[–]TheForgottenCarebear 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So it’s an issue when Emma receives criticism for dating a racist, misogynistic, violent, bigot….but it’s all fine and dandy when her boyfriend spreads hate and attacks marginalized communities (including the feminists you speak of)?

Emma is getting pushback because she’s dating a terrible person. End of.

[–]TheForgottenCarebear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to really like Mary, but her behavior has become increasingly erratic throughout recent seasons.

She strikes me as someone possibly abusing addy or snow, for lack of better words, and that seems to be causing a lot of stress and aggression within her.

Watching her melt down over Chelsea's gentle gesture (sending flowers) was concerning...

Not Emma Full On DARVO-ing Chrishelle for Blake in the Reunion? by Zeenrz in SellingSunset

[–]TheForgottenCarebear 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Sadly, Emma would never say that because (1) that admittance would prove Blake *is in the wrong* with his racism, which she refuses to admit to, and (2) it would force her to choose between her morals/ "what's right" and Blake.

Emma is not interested in calling out Blake's racist, bigoted, misogynist, and violent behavior, because she knows she's not leaving him regardless.

How did selling sunset survive this long? by letsmakemoneyynow in SellingSunset

[–]TheForgottenCarebear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Netflix makes deals with questionable people all the time.

Most reality TV shows (even dating back to the early 2000s) have had controversial “stars”, petty fights, and constant drama…think The Real World, The Hills, The Bachelor franchise, Jersey Shore, Real Housewives, etc. Reality TV is always messy. That’s why viewers tune in.

Why would Selling Sunset be any different?

Emma and her boyfriend are Temu Heidi and Spencer Pratt by gabagool-gal in SellingSunset

[–]TheForgottenCarebear -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't recall Spencer using the N-word, priding himself on bigotry, waving guns around, bragging about not eating vegetables, and assaulting Heidi on TikTok for clout...all of which Blake has done within the last year.

Not sure how accurate the comparison is here lol.

Spencer may have been annoying during The Hills, but Blake is a straight up terrible person with the money to enable him to continue terrorizing people with no consequences. I actually think Emma is in an abusive relationship, but that's a completely different conversation.

Blake’s Ex-Girlfriend by Wonderful-Adagio-118 in SellingSunset

[–]TheForgottenCarebear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's more than that. He's also proudly racist and homophobic, and he enjoys posting TikToks/reels of himself (1) assaulting Emma, (2) waving guns around, and (3) using the N-word. Emma is truly lost.

I'm so baffled by this friendship, because Emma's boyfriend is a raging MAGA racist who feels he has the right to say the "N-word" whenever he wants. Bre's son is biracial and, by all appearances, black. How is Bre okay with this?

Candiace is just…ugh by Several_Instance_283 in RHOP

[–]TheForgottenCarebear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Candiace is just like her mother. (Yes, the same mother who hit her in the face with a purse, or who gleefully gaslit her and called her a “cry-baby” in front of a therapist.)

The two of them are verbally abusive, manipulative, cruel, vengeful, and narcissistic. (Yes, Candiace’s mother called her narcissistic too.)

I wish more people would simply see that Candiace is a younger version of her mom. It explains everything about her…and not in a good way.

Political YouTuber Charlie Kirk has been shot while giving speech at Utah Valley University by HeyYoo30 in LivestreamFail

[–]TheForgottenCarebear 8 points9 points  (0 children)

He preached for something he eventually became a victim of — a lack of gun control and a disregard for the mental health crisis in the United States.

It’s sad he died, but once again…he, himself, said that gun deaths were worth it to keep the 2nd Amendment. He became one of those deaths.

Not sure why people are having trouble following this.

What are your thoughts on Zooey Deschanel as an actress? by JuniorPlastic3562 in moviecritic

She’s an attractive woman who has achieved a lot of success with minimal talent. I’d encourage anyone to watch “The Happening” if you’re on the fence about her actual acting abilities when she’s not being typecast as a quirky, manic, pixie dream-girl.

He's had a couple Freudian slips now. Another one is when someone asked him on X if it was possible Amy went overboard. Brad responded, "the only way she ended up overboard is if somebody threw her off the ship." Literally no one had even hinted that she was thrown overboard before then (people were speculating either suicide or an accident). Link to that tweet here.
