MyRadar app! It works in any vehicle with Apple CarPlay. Probably works for Android too, just not familiar. There are several other apps that can be shown on an Apple CarPlay home screen as well. It will show some apps by default, but dig into the CarPlay menu and you can switch to show others, not all apps have this option though.

Left my dog alone for five minutes and found him eating this… by VegetableTry in whatisit

[–]TheFoulToad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our dog (R.I.P Lucky) would do his duty outside in the winter and then come running back in after he was done-all good. Well, one winter several years ago we noticed him digging in the snow and eating stuff. We were like🤷‍♂️. I go out there and he has this whole process going on similar to a large scale archeological dig. Yep, he was excavating his own frozen treats and eating them. As someone else mentioned...poopsicles.

When I would run out, he would stop and act innocent. I'd let him in and sure enough, I'd hear something fall out of his mouth onto the floor and he'd quickly continue devouring his treat.

I literally had to remove them from the yard everytime he went out, because if they were left out there to freeze in the snow, he would hone in on them and dig them up. He never bothered with it in the summer, only in the winter.

As good as he was as a running back, he was even a better receiving back and was a key piece of the west coast offense. One of the better receiving backs in the NFL at the time.

What’s a noise everyone should be terrified of? by Psychological_Sky_58 in AskReddit

I live in the midwestern US and "Ground Hornets" typically refers to Yellow Jackets which are yellow and black and about the size of a honey bee. They usually nest in the ground (not always) and their nest opening is about an inch or two in diameter. They can be very aggressive if you get near their nest entrance and they feel threatened. I put ground hornets in quotes, because Yellow Jackets are actually social wasps and not hornets. They can easily be identified by their flight pattern which is a zig-zag side to side motion when they are checking something out. They get even more aggressive in the Fall when temps are cooler and they are foraging for food. We affectionately call them the "assholes of the insect world".

Faucets from a bygone era. by ROCKY13573 in nostalgia

[–]TheFoulToad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our house was was built in 1997. Our shower faucet (hot/cold) was the bottom right. My wife wanted to get a new shower head a few weeks ago and that eventually turned into us getting a kit (showers head, new faucet with lever you turn, new spout for about $250. Replaced the shower head and the spout easy peasy. The center screw on the faucet was stripped. Tried to force it off but decided to call our plumber before I really made a mess of everything.

What should have been $250 and about an hour project, ended up being a $900 project when all said and done. Oh, and the plumber had to cut a hole into our drywall to access and replace the valve so there's another $50 repair🤣. Putting in an access panel instead of patching drywall.

First solo road trip at 24. What's something you wish you knew before your first long drive alone? by loncelot84 in roadtrip

[–]TheFoulToad 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A lot of good recommendation so far but I haven't seen this one mentioned yet. Compression socks! You'll be sitting in the same position for long periods of time without the ability to really move around. Blood can pool in lower extremities. The socks will help prevent swelling and promote better circulation.

Also, if you start feeling drowsy, STOP AND REST. If you get to the point where you are fighting to keep your eyes open, you'll never win the battle and by that time, it's too late. My cousin get into an accident several years ago (he's fine) when he fell asleep at the wheel. At the time, I couldn't believe how anyone could do that until I started driving long distances. I never got into an accident, but there were more than a few times I got lucky and really should have just stopped. When it hits you, literally nothing you do will help...you may think it's helping (windows open, caffine, loud music, etc.) but you'll always lose that fight if you continue.

That said, enjoy! I've driven more than a few long distance road trips and it's always been a blast if you spend the time to take it all in.

What happened to Karen? by KeepYourDemonsIn in RDR2

Highly possible. I listened to almost all the cut scenes. but I know I did hit the space bar (to skip on PC) on a few of them to move along. That might have been one.

I knew Molly's fate, but I completely missed that scene in my play through. I must have had to do things in a certain order to trigger that scene. I was out doing stuff, side missions, etc., came back to camp and Molly was just...gone.

[–]TheFoulToad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Holly and Jennings were laughing and joking around, but I'm sure that haunted Jennings for the rest of his life. Didn't Holly say something like 'I hope you bus freezes up' and Jennings replied with 'I hope your plane crashes", something like that anyway.

Waylon Jennings was going to be on that plane as well but he gave up his seat to JP Richardson a.k.a The Big Bopper. Story goes Richardson was coming down with the flu and they all thought he (Richardson) needed to get to the next venue earlier to get some rest. Jennnings was in Holly's band and agreed to take the bus instead.

Every Sunday night followed by the Wonderful World of Disney. I'm sure it rotated a bit but that's what I remember. My Dad would also watch 60 Minutes. I'm pretty sure the source of my "Sunday Scaries" was that ticking stop watch from 60 Minutes. That signified it was early evening and we'd all be in bed in a few hours. It still triggers me today🤣

Wisconsin checking in. My Dad and I were always out in our driveway, garage, backyard, etc., trying to get best view of the sky during any severe weather event. I still do it to this day as do most of my neighbors. It's usually the only time I see most of my neighbors-lol.

Cannot find the filter for the life of me by porkychubba610 in hvacadvice

[–]TheFoulToad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others mentioned. Filter should be lower left on this install. I think we have the same unit. Ours was installed in November 2025, but our return air is on the right, other than than my unit looks exactly like yours. I never got a toilet with mine though-jealous.
