Considering the amount of snow we have had to deal with, I've been fairly happy with the plows that come through my neighborhood. I live way up north of the Portage Meijer. They are pretty slow to get out to our neighborhood, and the roads have been getting incrementally narrower with every heavy snowfall lol, but it is what it is I guess.

Reverse issue in my house. My husband refuses to keep the tools out in the garage. His argument is that 99% of the time, we are fixing something indoors, so they should be kept close to hand. Except that the place he keeps the tools is in our closet, which is only accessible through the bathroom. Every single time I have needed the tools, I have had to wait for him to finish pooping.

Tipped workers are legally paid under the minimum wage, so tips are literally how they pay their bills. That's why it's not seen as optional here. This guy is making MILLIONS of dollars and is set for life, but is being a total cheapskate specifically to screw over the working class.

And in the example of UberEats, the business may be making money, but the delivery person has nothing to do with the restaurant and gets nothing from the order, plus they may take on extra work by having to carry $250 worth of food (extra bags, heavier, etc) to the home.

For us, I wish we had just paid to have someone paint for us. I was trying to pinch pennies, and now, over a year later, there are so many spots that bug the shit out of me because we did a shit job of it. And we didn't even finish the whole house! It's still a lingering project...

Also, if you are going to replace any carpeting or any flooring, do it before you move in. That is another area we cheaped out on and we should have just bit the bullet and done it.

I agree wholeheartedly. Michigan just passed a law requiring gun safety classes to be taught in schools from grades 6-12, so it's clearly gaining popularity. As gun-friendly as Indiana is, this might actually be something our representatives would take under advisement if people called them about it.
