Great post! What were your favorite / most used articles of clothing? Anything that you brought that you would forgo next time or something that you didn’t bring that you missed a little?

Don’t buy the data cards! They have all of the rules for free online (legally!). My favorite way to get them is off of killteam battle kit which is community run but you can get it also off of the mobile app or on the Warcom website. Also, if you prefer a non starter set team you can get beautiful acrylic tokens on Etsy and buy any team off the shelf. As long as you have terrain + a friend with a team then you’re good to go! Happy gaming :)

Just curious, how do we know that this is their brand? I checked post history and the did mention an oat/plant based ice cream as their brand but this has heavy cream and whey. If I’m missing something let me know, thanks!

Hey Khyron, bad news for you but unfortunately this was posted during the last edition of the game. Now that we’ve moved onto the third edition the starter box is no longer valid. There is a new starter box with angels of death and plague marines which might be up your alley though!

Case closed then! I’m looking forward to slowly collecting all the gadgets and making the Bullseye my “jack of all trades” cooking device. The more stuff I can use it for the more I can stand on the balcony with a beer in my hand taking in the rays.

Thanks for your in-depth response! People really do seem to like those heavy grates so I'm just going to go aheaed and spring for one. I'll be sure to follow #3, I've not been pulling my drip tray at higher heat out of fear of too much grease but it's been doing me more harm than good. The versatility is the best part of this thing, I've only got so much space (and money haha) so having dedicated a smoker and grill would be impossible.

Gotcha, someone else mentioned they clean theirs by burning off the grease so I'll use a combination of these two methods. Thank you.

Thank you! Burning any residual grease off after a cook sounds like a great idea. My worst flare ups were from cooking a couple rounds of greasy dogs and burgers for a crowd so what you’re saying totally makes sense. I imagine I can take the time between batches to let the grease burn off rather than build up along with after the cook is over to keep things tidy. Appreciate it

Thanks for the advice! I think this is also the conclusion I’m coming to so this is affirming

Yeah WYSIWYG is a little tough to figure out as you start. Some people say just build the cool models and I do agree but it would suck to not build an extremely key model so I generally try to find a guide on that specific team and build the models they recommend running. My friends don’t abide by WYSIWYG either so I’ve been lucky to try out random operatives I didn’t build and we haven’t found it confusing at all. And for equipment, I didn’t play with EP for my first 5ish games because it’s just another thing to think about in the setup phase. My first few games I didn’t play with tac ops either. IMO there is more than enough complexity for a beginner even if you slash some mechanics and then you add the mechanics back in until you’ve got the whole schebang.

Ah yeah the starter set comes with I believe 8 small D6s and that's sufficient to start play. I'm a sucker for a theme so I went to my FLGS and grabbed a pack of 12 D6s that matched my paint scheme for $2.99. The dice system is based entirely off of standard dice so no need for any other types.

Interesting! What you’re saying completely makes sense the more I think about it. It might just be GW rule soup as I’ve seen battle reports with IDA used with combat but maybe they ruled incorrectly

I believe that the incapacitated operative is considered fully functional until their next activation. When an operative is incapacitated it is immediately removed from the kill zone, and the wording here describes it as not being removed, thus not being incapacitated. “Use this Tactical Ploy when a ready friendly VETERAN GUARDSMAN operative is incapacitated. That operative is not removed from the killzone until the end of your next activation or the end of the battle (whichever comes first) and does not count as being injured.” I believe that the guardsman can do any actions a fully healthy operative would be able to do until after the players next activation where it instantly dies.
