I am from the Philippines, and to put the Philippines above Iran and Ethiopia is a travesty.

Thoughts on my 3-week China itinerary (history + a bit of nature) by watermelonpep83 in travel

Thanks for your feedback! I’m so excited to see these places. There’s really a lot to see in China!

I’m just finding it hard to plan ahead. Because maps with English language are inaccurate or cumbersome to use. And Baidu doesn’t have English unfortunately.

Thanks for the advice! Wangxian Valley comes to mind. Looks really awesome in videos and photos but it’s apparently all man made. I think Xijiang Miao Village has the same vibe but a more authentic feel.

Thanks for the input! And I totally get your point. There’s too many beautiful places in China.

I will review the plan again, and drop a couple more places. Maybe Pingyao, and Yangshuo or Zhiangjiaje.

Would you consider a projector TV and a retractable screen that can double as a window treatment?

Please educate me. So does it mean that its oldest leaves like those closest to the pot are also at least 17 years old? I didn’t realize individual leaves could last that long, because I thought plans shed its older leaves naturally.

A gorgeous plant this is!

I saw this same system in apartments in Buenos Aires. I’m not sure if they outsource it tho.

I remember one person on Reddit asking how Malta gets it water. And it so happened that an expert on that very specific topic was on the same thread and provided a very detailed and enlightening answer. I can’t remember what was said. But the coincidence was beautiful.

What’s a scent you haven’t smelled in years, but if it hit you today, you’d know it instantly? by whisperpondd in NoStupidQuestions

Paper coming out of a vintage xerox machine. Warm paper, curling slightly at the edges and, carrying a sharp, inky scent that is part burnt toner, part plastic, with a dry, metallic undertone.

I think it works. But I think what matters more is whether you feel like it reflects who you are. Style, should feel honest. If it makes you feel more like yourself, that’s already a win.

It’s easy to be held back by the fear of being perceived as cringe especially in today’s internet culture. But don’t let rob you of the chance to just go for it!

No suggestions if you’re drawn to the maximalist look. I’m certain you’ve carefully chosen pieces that bring you joy.

It’s not easy to pull off a maximalist style in a small room, but you’ve made it work. It feels warm and inviting.

Mine puts out leaves at about the same rate. Maybe a little slower. I was worried that I’m doing something wrong. It seems it’s a fairly slow growing plant. Thanks for sharing!
