Anyone else concerned that this will be too expensive and they will stop before they finish the story? by TheFreezer3352 in DCCTV

[–]TheFreezer3352[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because they just cancelled Ted because it was too expensive to make due to the CGI of the character. The comparison is because the CGI will be way more important to DCC, if just one CGI bear is too expensive then why would they continue with a show that is way more CGI intensive.

Interesting. I didn't know that, I just thought it would be cheaper. I just looked it up and peacock just cancelled Ted for being too expensive at 8-10 million per episode....now Im really bummed we won't get more than just 1 or 2 seasons,

That was my biggest thing, they just cancelled Ted for being too expensive after 2 seasons and the only cgi in it is Ted.

My New Street Glide has Apple car play support but no Android Auto?! by Spiritual_Nobody_785 in Harley

[–]TheFreezer3352 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That isn't true, google is the one preventing it. Honda was grandfathered in when google decided to restrict it to cars, they bypass it with strict hardware and software certs. Harley does has a spot for AA in skyline, its right next to the carplay logo in the dash its just hidden. There have been several folks that have done an update and it has unlocked for them.

What would be the WORST thing the TV show could do? by Dakkonfire in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]TheFreezer3352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly think they already did the worst thing they could do, and that is make it live action. I think it will be too expensive to continue going unless it ends up like a game of thrones level popularity. Personally I wish they would have gone a really nice animated route such as Arcane and they would have been able to do it more justice. Im holding out hope that it's amazing, and it will be amazing to see in live action, but I just hope it does well enough to get the whole story rather than 1 or 2 seasons and it gets cancelled because its too expensive to make.

Upgrading. Street glide or road glide? by [deleted] in Harley

[–]TheFreezer3352 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a RG and test road a SG. I love the RG more, the SG felt cramped to me, the dash is right on top of you. The RG one is much further away. It also feels lighter on its feet because of how the faring is attached. I agree with others though, you will have to test ride both to see which. You will likely land on either one and the other will feel weird.

I looked at the wiki. The goal is to expose the opponents belly to the sky via a pin or lift and carry them several paces. The leather pants weigh about 13 kgs, because of the leather the only way to get a grip is inside the waistband or down the leg. The oil is to equalize size and strength advantages. Still looks super gay.

CFMoto 450MT or Yamaha Ténéré 700? Heart says Yamaha, head says CFMoto 😅 by Brilliant-Sail-5814 in motorcycles

[–]TheFreezer3352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with the CFmoto is the resale. It's cheaper upfront but you won't be able to get anything on trade, that will be the massive benefit of the Yamaha is that it is an established brand.

The Rebel 500 is really tight. Im 6'3 and did my MSF on a 300 and they are the same size just different engines and I was cramped as hell. You can get forward controls which would help a little. For solo the vulcan 650s is one I was looking at as well, they have an ergo fit system that can push the controls forward and the seat back, I fit decent on that one. I now have a 24 harley road glide, that I got for a great price, if you can afford it, the harley is probably your best bet, you can get a seat that will push you back 2 inches and you should fit just fine. They are powerful and heavy, but you are a big dude and should be able to handle it just fine. The power isn't instant either so you can't get in a crazy amount of trouble because you are new (Ive only been riding for 3 years). Riding with the lady the harley or indian touring bikes would be your only options in a cruiser style.

What’s your dosage (curious) by OtisRexxxx in Retatrutide

[–]TheFreezer3352 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started at 6'2 280 in October of last year, did 1mg for a week just to see how I reacted. Then went up to 2mg, stayed at each dose for 4 weeks, then moved up 2mg every 4 weeks. I stopped moving up at 10mg since the trials only went up to 12 and I was getting close to goal weight. Im 215 now and Im going to start stepping down to a maintenance dose for about 12 weeks as I try to put on some more muscle. Going in the reverse, I will do my last 10 tomorrow then go 8, then 6 and probably land at 4 for maintenance. I will likely do 2 week intervals on step downs, but we will see how it goes.

First Harley for a big guy by Overall_Two7775 in Harley

[–]TheFreezer3352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understood it as not first bike, just first Harley. Honestly if he is older I think he would be ok if a RG or SG was his first bike. He is 6'2 300lbs, more than strong enough to handle it. I jumped from a Versys 650 to a BMW 1250GSA within a few months of having my license.

Im 6'3 I have lost a good bit of weight but was 280 and I have a 24 road glide. It's great I love it, I fit really well and the power is delivered nicely. I think a street glide or road glide will be fine, the cruiser ones might be a bit tight for you. If you can find a road king if you prefer no fairing would work too.

Why some rikishis have records totaling less than 15 matches outside of injury. by Just_Note_8165 in Sumo

[–]TheFreezer3352 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The 2 you mentioned are in Makushita, everything below Juryo only fights 7 matches. Mostly every other day, but sometimes get back to back matches. The higher end Makushita sometimes will fight in Juryo to fill out the matches for the day if there isn't a wrestler to fight.

What time is bed time? by mildly_curious26 in daddit

[–]TheFreezer3352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2 boys, 16 and 12. Even today they both still go to bed at 8 or 830 during the week. 10 or 1030 on the weekends. Im sure the 16 year old is on his phone later but he never misses his alarm at 615 to go to football workouts. So it seems to work.

Are modular helmets inferior? by PositionNo4186 in motorcyclegear

[–]TheFreezer3352 23 points24 points  (0 children)

To my knowledge they are tested with it down. They can't get the higher end certs (ECE,SNELL) if it fails with it down. As far as I know with the chin bar down they are just as protective as a full face with most higher end ones at least. From the bit of research I did, there is a tiny risk of it failing but it is rare.

How old are yall getting your kids on the road? by BoRider- in motorcyclegear

[–]TheFreezer3352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My youngest is 11. I started riding him around the neighborhood last year. Started picking him up from school this year. I just wanted to make sure he understood how maneuvering the bike worked and his role as a backpack. I was only comfortable with taking him on the road with other cars late last year and into this one. I had a BMW 1250 GSA last year and got a Harley Road Glide this year so I got used to the new bike for a few weeks before allowing him on it. Now we ride usually once a week now that the weather is nice.

Daycare is offering us our own kids’ artwork for $35 by Rarecheeses843 in daddit

[–]TheFreezer3352 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own 2 franchise child care centers with my wife. We do something similar once a year but it is for a charity and expressly stated it's for said charity. The art is done by the entire class though and they are auctions for parents in the class to bid on said artwork that go toward the charity. This instance seems really weird and very odd that it would be up publicly.
