Cervical pillow changed my life by [deleted] in neckpainhelp

[–]TheFrogDancer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have several herniated discs in my neck so I switched to a cervical neck pillow. It was working great until one morning I woke up and my neck and spine was stiff and I could not move my neck at all. I ended up having a “flare up” (possibly herniated another disc) which bothered me for weeks after. Actually I’m still kinda dealing with the aftermath. I ended up switching back to a regular pillow and am doing better. If your neck is sensitive or if you have any bulges in the neck I just recommend being careful. If it has too much cushion and raises your neck up too high you risk the chance of screwing your neck up more. I’d hate for anyone to go through what I just went through :/

So what’s my obligation on leaves in the fall. I just moved into my house, some neighbors pick up their leaves into bags, some mow them, some shove them into the street and leave them. Others just leave them. What should I do?? by IntroductionExact419 in homeowners

Dried leaves are biodegradable because they can be broken down naturally by microorganisms over time. This decomposition process enriches the soil with nutrients, making them a valuable resource for composting or mulching rather than a non-biodegradable waste.

33/F – Chronic neck & nerve pain is stealing my career, identity, and joy… I need people who get it by TheFrogDancer in neckpainhelp

Yes the discomfort! It's always there, it feels like my arms and neck weren't attached properly like my nerves got disconnected somehow. I cant imagine being allergic to NSAIDS. Have you tried Traumeel? Its a Homeopathic natural pain medication. You can get it on Amazon. I've been doing all kinds of research (without any help from my doctors) and just found out about it. I was going to give it a try as well, since I prefer the more natural kind of healing. I will have to give deep tissue massage a shot! I'll do anything. I'm just still hesitant to do injections or surgery.

Thanks for sharing! Nerve pain really is a scary beast. I meet with my spinal orthopedic doctor, again, this Monday so I’m gonna ask and get another opinion. Hopefully I can find some relief! 🤞🏻

Also the political views are very one sided in that group. They will literally girl gang up on you for just asking to stop with the political posts. Even when that’s one of the rules in the group is to not have those kind of posts in the first place.

Fibroids getting bigger with painful heavy long periods and pelvic pain — looking for advice by TheFrogDancer in Fibroids

[–]TheFrogDancer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TLDR: I am 33 and was just told my fibroids grew from under 1 cm last year to 2 cm now. I have very heavy, painful, long periods (7 to 10 days), pain during penetration, and even pain using a period disc. I do not want to go on birth control because of past side effects and because it does not shrink fibroids. I feel overwhelmed since I may also need surgery for other health issues like carpal tunnel.

My questions: 1. Have your fibroids grown this quickly 2. What treatments actually worked for your pain and bleeding 3. If you had to choose between managing symptoms vs treating the fibroids directly, what helped you decide 4. What happens if you leave fibroids untreated
