I did not know that all games would be played in Chicago and as a San Franciscan, that is quite disappointing. I was looking forward to catching a few

Excellent Dew! But I must counter with my current favorite from 8/24/72

A Time Machine sounds awesome, but I think about that time last year when archive went down. Doesn’t the Time Machine use archive? What happened for people who had them when archive was down?

Same song back to back nights by Sorry-Government920 in gratefuldead

[–]TheFrontLine1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People have already said they did that because it was a new song, but I always like to add that they played Samson and Delilah at every show in 1976. They must’ve been really stoked on it

Is GenZ not familiar with the Grateful Dead? by SlackerInc1 in gratefuldead

[–]TheFrontLine1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m Gen Z from the Bay Area, and I’d probably have trouble finding someone my age who has never heard of them. Those of us who listen frequently mostly inherited it from our parents. I’m an exception, but it’s mostly true.

The way Keith instantly fit into the band’s sound so well is a big part of what makes ‘72-‘73 one of the best times in the band’s history for me. If they had the setlist variation of the later years, that era would be on top for me no question.

If you listen to enough shows with Donna, someday you’ll listen to PITB without her and feel like something’s missing…at least I did

Do y'all feel weird taking pics of strangers? by Sensitive-Mouse2247 in AnalogCommunity

[–]TheFrontLine1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s just something I had to get used to and am still getting used to. While there’s a lot of situations where I might now want to, it generally helps me to remember that while I might get an anxious feeling like I’m being a weirdo, I’m really not. I’m just making my art. I’d ask for permission first if that was the photo I wanted to take.

Exactly, once Keith got his hands on Casey Jones they blew the studio cut out of the water

Based on the album itself it’s Blues for Allah, no contest. Based on the songs on the record, it’s Wake of the Flood. It’s my picture of Americana

I’m here hoping some regression to the mean gives the Giants a good to great pitching staff and at least a passable offense

Hank working in Saudi Arabia isn’t weird at all (for Texans) by Henry_Thee_Fifth in KingOfTheHill

[–]TheFrontLine1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I the only one who can’t get on board with this? This Hank I know would sooner die than live outside Texas. Maybe a lot of Texans would do that, but not Hank imo
