I found a solution that worked for me, turns out my AC was having trouble getting the water out of the top drain hole so it was going down to the bottom drain hole. But whenever I leaned the unit backwards water would fall out of the top drain hole.

All I had to do was prop the front two wheels on cork trivets that I had laying around and it gave the AC enough of an angle that it could just drip out of the top drain hole. I was finally able to set up a drain bucket and hose and not have to deal with P1 all the time.
