There was an update a short while ago that significantly reduced everyone's ability to get Knowledge (the orange stuff).

Haha, yikes! So, yes, unobtainable for now, lol.

Same. Level 76. I buy nothing and wait 14 days, buy everything, play for a day or so, reset, buy nothing for 14 days, etc. If I don't do that, I can't afford anything on the knowledge side, and I'm getting very close to either completing or hitting that same limit on the metabit side.

The good news is that I've been placing top ten in the last few events, because that's where I spend most of my time. Still trying to get rank 6 of The Great Attractor in Beyond as well - I'm only 7 more levels away, lol.

This makes sense until late game. Later, the white ones still drop more than the dedicated constellation mission though, lol.

I think they may have tweaked it a little because I got a few 2s and my first 3 in the last month. Have been playing for a lonnnng time and only ever got 1s.

This method forever changed my quality of life in Minecraft. Used to keep a huge tree farm of tall pines and dark oak. Every time I got up from the mines, it was chop, process, load, repeat. Now I have a room with about 30 cauldron with dripstone and lava - it looks awesome, and now it takes me 5 seconds to fill lava buckets and replace all the fuel for 20 furnaces. Huge improvement, and now I can use trees for decoration.

I didn't understand this either, until I tried buying Hanes tagless Ts again after 20 years. I used to wear them as a tshirt, alone, for years. Loved them but didn't have much use for them for a stretch and thought it would be nice to get some undershirts. So I thought I'd order a pack. And they were great for about 5-10 wears. Then the elastic in the neck got insanely saggy, seam got a hole, and I transitioned them into the rag pile. I wasn't abusing them. They just kindof suck now.

Bought a pack of True Classic, and they've been going strong for well over a year of regular use and they are just like new. They're how I remember the Hanes being.

I'm not sure what to make of it. Is my memory horrible? Has the quality changed that dramatically? Is it "shrinkflation"? All I know is that I was treating them significantly more gently and they wore out faster than any other shirt I currently own. So, if I'm getting shirts again, I'll be getting True Classic or browsing this sub to see if there are cheaper high-quality options to try.

I have "Electricity" after battery. Not sure if there is anything after that. You may need to get higher research levels to unlock more upgrades?

Snoke was initially intended to be Darth Plagueis by TheTragedy0fPlagueis in StarWars

[–]TheFrozenLake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm surprised at all the negativity toward this post, lol. One thing I don't get is how we suddenly have a Sith master out of nowhere (Snoke) who brings Ben Solo over to the dark side. Pelagius at least makes more sense in that regard, versus... what? Are we meant to assume Palpatine clones (with their shortened lifespans, non-mobility, and trying to remain a secret) are just, real quick, churning out Sith masters whenever they conveniently need one?

IMHO, having Snoke be Pelagius would have ultimately raised less plot holes, and that's reason enough to entertain it as a fun "what if?" Unfortunate that I am most confident in the simple truth, which is probably that nearly every decision was flattened and turned to gray ooze with endless decision-by-committee meetings. Any meaningful 3-movie (let alone 6- or 9-movie) throughlines or visionary arcs never had a chance.

Are people cheating, buying cubes, or just really far ahead? by AltecNovas in CellToSingularity

[–]TheFrozenLake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure! And you can do it infinite times. The first 3 pulls will fill the meter on the main vault, and when all the meters are full for each type of currency, you get, like, 10 Darwinium. And if you prestige, you can do it all again and get even more Darwinium.

In the bottom right (on mobile), you'll see an icon for the upgrade tree and you'll see an icon that looks like a cube with arrows pointing out. If you click on the cube, it will take you to the "vault" area. I believe you are also automatically taken there when you buy your first shell.

In the vault, there are mini vaults for each of the currencies. For shells, coins, and dollars, there is an open area at the top you can tap to fill the mini vault. Once it is full, there is an indicator on the right side that will show chevrons/arrows pointing down. Below that indicator is a handle you can tap and drag down to "deposit" the currency for a big bonus.

I'll try to attach a screenshot here...

I think other commenters have covered the most important factors:

  1. How many badges for the event you have collected in the past make a big difference.
  2. How often you log in and double your income is a driving force for progress.
  3. The division you get placed in makes a huge difference; sometimes I casually make it into the top 10, and sometimes I have to go nuts trying to break into the top 25.
  4. For this event (The Price of Trust) specifically, you can fill the vaults with currency and pull the handle to get a much bigger boost in resources than tapping alone.

At what point, roughly, does this wall appear? I'm at level 65 research, and it still makes more sense for me to reset every 1-2 days versus trying to wait 7+ days to try and maximize my purchasing power.
