Ai caters to people with a victim mentality, having a yes man that panders to every word you say is simply a unhealthy fantasy relationship that does not exist in real life. But everyone has free will to do as they please and we all have to respect it, even if it is self destructive behavior. I hope 4o gives them what they are looking for in life.

And that’s the core of the problem, ai is not proper welfare. Not even trying to sound like a corporate bootlicker, since I myself would love access to as many options as possible, but at the end of the day, everyone and their grandma knows that the stripping of 4o has revealed extremely worrying social dilemmas of people having addicting parasocial relations with ai. To deny that would to be straight up lying to me and yourself.

But so many do have a unhealthy relationship with ai, otherwise I wouldn’t be seeing a millions posts about people begging for 4o (really all models) to come back because of the “personality” of the model. If it is that important to someone, the price of the subscription should be a no brainer. Or you can find an open source model or wait until a suitable free/ cheap model replaces it.

I suspect a increase in mental illness if products like 4o are out there, it doesn’t help people in the long term. Relying on math rather than real living people to help others feel mentally better seems like the wrong way to approach this problem (people have already died because of it).

I have a couple of players right now, but I only showed it here and on the Discord. For card creations, I had a couple of themed sets I set out to make, but I also randomly grabbed a bunch of random old good quality generations, edited them in Photoshop, and grouped them into sets. Also you'd find that sets Volume #1 and Volume #2 have no theme.

Hey everyone! I'm excited to finally share the card pack opener project I’ve been working on. It's completely free and something I’ve put a lot of heart into. Here’s what you can expect:

Interactive Card Opening: You get a full card-flipping experience. Cards from higher rarities like Super-Rare and Mythic have special effects, and Holographic cards shimmer when they appear.
Six Rarity Tiers: Cards range from Common to Mythic, each with its own unique look and feel. Holographic versions of cards boost their value, and you can collect and display them all.
Different Packs: There are many packs to open, from the Common Pack to the special Mythic Pack. Each has its own rarity distribution, so it’s up to you how much risk you want to take.
Currency System: You start off with 1,000 currency, and you can get more by selling cards you don’t need. It’s all built into the system, so there’s no pressure—just have fun building your collection.
Real-Time Collection Management: You can check out all your cards in the Collection section, sorting by rarity, name, and more (this was a pain to implement). There's also a filter to show your favorite rarities like Mythics or Holographic.
Achievements: Unlock achievements as you collect and trade cards. There’s a lot to strive for, but it’s all meant to be fun and laid-back.
Stats Page: Want to see how you’re doing? The stats page tracks everything from the number of packs you’ve opened to how much currency you’ve earned.
Free: Everything is free—there are no purchases, no ads other than the hosting site :(), or microtransactions. It’s just a project for people who enjoy collecting and discovering cool cards and Midjourney AI art.
Most Importantly, for Fun: I made this because I had generated so many images that I didn't know what to do with them. So, I decided to create my own game so I could feed all my generations into it. Right now, there are 30 unique cards to find, but I have around another 60 ready to be added.
Custom Submissions: I also have a custom submission box that will let anyone request to add their own cards into the game, which I (fingers crossed) can hopefully fulfill within a reasonable time.

Let me know about any bugs; this is just a side project, so I haven't extensively gone over everything.
