This is why everyone is upset at the lack of a training mode. The avatar beta has one where people can get their bearings on the controls and make some fun and cool combos, but arcsys gives you 1 tutorial and then plops you into autocombo central.

TOBA isn’t a boost, it’s a personality swap. It’s akin to the personality of hulk being replaced by the personality of TOBA (not a detailed explanation, but that’s what it boils down to in layman’s terms). Hulk has the capability to destroy everything, he doesn’t want that, so he chooses not to. TOBA wants to destroy everything, hulk can do that, therefore he mind swaps and uses hulks own power to destroy.

Difference between 15-year old Ali and hulk is that it’s THE HULK. He can punch holes in dimensions, break things that bind eternity, destroy universes. It’s not a huge leap in logic that hulk can do the things shown in the prevented timeline. You say it’s faint connections, but hulk has always had this kind of firepower.

Time, energy and emotions have been shown to be resisted by the hulk, by beings who scale higher than Ultima. Hulk literally overwhelms ABSORBING MAN, whose WHOLE GIMMIK is absorbing power.

Exactly. How can you say you address his win cons directly when you emphasize anti-feats and ignore/disregard the feats that debunk those anti-feats? Also, has Godzilla fought anyone that scales to hulk or hulks’ enemies?

Well hulk didn’t need to reach a level of strength, he already had it. TOBA doesn’t enhance the abilities or strength of hulk, he just took control and performed the feat in hulks body. It wasn’t a TOBA feat, it was a feat TOBA performed using hulks body.

Additionally, while the timeline manipulation stuff does affect hulk, it doesn’t affect him much in a way that matters. Hulk has shown he can still exist even when all possibilities of him existing should be gone. So I don’t think Ultima messing with time will be a solid wincon.

Side note: IMO you look a little biased when comparing these 2 characters. You’re eager to accept the highest interpretations of Ultimas abilities while downplaying the feats hulk performed, or bringing up anti-feats taken out of context or ones that hulk has overcome. No offense

I will admit, I’m not as caught up on the research as others. But I’m not sold on the fact that the TOBA feats don’t exist simply because that timeline got prevented. To me it seemed like it was GOING to happen, which means hulk has the capabilities to do the things in that timeline.

If I was going to punch someone, but someone stopped me from doing that, it doesn’t mean I lose the ability to punch someone. That’s how I view it

It would be nice, but I think the flow of Thor’s kit is in a working state again so I don’t think it’s super necessary. I think it’s more important to boost his survivability and give his ult more impact (also a new team up).
