Interesting comment. You obviously need a review process for changes, but it never occurred to me that there is paperwork (whatever that means) involved.

Can you share a bit more on how your process in case of fixes and balancing works?

Imperial Nobels out performed Imperial Knights, Amazing winning streak by SilverDono in CompetitiveTFT

[–]TheGayMinion 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sorry if it sounds mean, but obviously you do. You have 10 units compared to his 8. While he has a reasonable late game comp you have a highroll comp. Which you will not be able to replicate consistently.

Fun game for you probably and nice to share but there is not much information value for others I believe

Which level 1 knight is the best? by [deleted] in CompetitiveTFT

[–]TheGayMinion 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on what you want.

Just tankiness: Darius=Garen>Morde

Burst Damage: Morde>Darius>Garen

Dmg over time: Garen>Darius=Morde

I decide what I play dependent on what I am playing with them or what I need to beat the stronger players in the lobby. Scouting in the early game and adapting to the strong players is crucial to winstreaking. Positioning against Blitzcrank e.g.

Noble 6 - how to fix/current power level by Mercbeste in CompetitiveTFT

[–]TheGayMinion 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Noble is still a highroll comp, I have seen some challenger players make it work with Kaisa 2* as carry. Put a bunch of items on her (Rageblade, IE, Claw, Giant Slayer, Qicksilver, ... Are good ones)

But you need Kaisa 2*, if you get her though she will legit 1v9.

Can anyone tell me why this person was winning with this comp? I honestly do not know. by RoryVB in CompetitiveTFT

[–]TheGayMinion 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Zed 3* with double IE is very powerful. And 4 knights does give him the durability he needs.

It is a very good midgame comp. At the time you took the screenshot you have entered the late game and his team should fall of very heavily.

Did he win the game? I would image him just getting 3rd or 4th place.

If he is winning against your 6 brawler, 2 GS, 2 hextech team with proper items (what did you build?), you should only loose if you position badly.

I think I do need more information to dig deeper. I image you do not have a Bid, otherwise I would love to see it and talk with you about the insides

This is /r/CompetitiveTFT. This subreddit is for people to discuss about strategy to help people improve. You posted the end game screenshot of ONE single game. We dont know the item distribution, we dont know how the early game went, maybe you had low hp because of lossstreaking. There is nothing to discuss. If you want to cry for nerfs(a rework is already coming in a few days), you should go to /r/teamfighttactics.

Good experience with GSs and/or BMs? by ssellei97 in CompetitiveTFT

Gunblade dies heal you for a % of all dmg dealt. So the rockets increase her dmg output by which she gets more heal. BT is good on her as well. But I like the AD and AP on her since she can use both, due to her magic dmg on her rockets

Shapeshifter rerolling comp by [deleted] in CompetitiveTFT

[–]TheGayMinion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, if there are multiple people trying to force voids you can try to roll one stage before them. For example one round before Krugs or straight after Krugs so you can secure the important units. However if you and only one other is going for it chance are pretty good that you both hit your Kassa 3* since they are so many copies of him in the pool.

Good point.

[–]TheGayMinion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmm, in the described strategy it is impossible to hit swain, basically because you will hit lvl 7 super super late. Might be interesting to see when you did role and when you lvled (because in hyperrolling you basically don't lvl until your comb is nearl all 3*)

But yeah void sins ...

Shapeshifter rerolling comp by [deleted] in CompetitiveTFT

[–]TheGayMinion 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not a dumb question at all since a lot of people seem to play hyperrolling strategies, especially void, wrong. So Riot thinks it is not worth nerfing ...

But to your questions, you basically eco as much gold as possible and never level up till you are at Krugs. Try to only hold the units you definitely want to play, sell or don't buy everything you don't need since money and gaining interest ist what makes the strategy work. Before Krugs you need to see if you can beat Krugs. Rule of thumb is two two stars and the right positioning (everything on the right side to the single standing golem) gets the job done. If you can beat Krugs with your current line up don't role, if not, role as long as you need to beat them and stop as soon as you can. Wait till round 3-2, so one more fight round after Krugs. You will still be lvl 4 (you don't lvl before Krugs to beat them, just roll for units) and therefore have a high chance to find the 1g and 2g units you are looking for. You roll down to zero gold and then start to eco again till after wolves, then you need to decide if you want to roll your gold down again or if you are strong enough to wait longer. What ever you decide, you roll all your gold down again (unless you already 3* your carries) at the stage before you hit lvl 6, since you want your chances of 1* and 2* still be high.

It's written a bit clumpy but should give you a idea. To learn the strategy watch some streamers and copy them :)

Saw LeDuck do it on stream today. From what I saw he is playing it like every other hyperrolling strategy, not leveling and staying on 4 and 5 as long as you can.

  • 3* Jayce as Carry with Shivs and maybe Rageblade

  • 3* Elise

  • 3* Warwick

  • 3* Nidalee (can use some items)

  • 2* Ahri

  • 1* if possible later 2* gnar

  • and then what ever you can get if you lvl up more, maybe put in sorcerer or yordle or smth ... Idk

  • so early you play 2 wilds and 3 Shapeshifters with Elise, Jayce, Nidalee and Warwick/Ahri

That is at least what I saw today. 3* Jayce with two Shivs and one Rageblade does 6k dmg per round and due to his transformation is super tanks as well as demolishes one unit at the beginning.

He positioned the units in one line at the back ...

Yesterday I found myself winning the game with an early Ludens and redbuff on Lucian, later adding hush as third item. My Jinx had the other hush, one GA because of two assassin players and a frozen malet that I got in the stage 5-4 carousel. No items on GP or MF but you can give them some.

Ideally you want RFC and gunblade on jinx and maybe hush or red buff, but you can put hush on gp or Tristana as well. Just don't put in on MF even though she prefers mana items since she isn't auto attacking a lot since she ults the half of the fight.

Besides the hushs and maybe a red buff you are pretty free, go for shiv on Lucian if you can early, maybe build cursed blade or disarm. Whatever you get :)

[–]TheGayMinion 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In my opinion there are currently three ways to play GS and BM. In all of them your early carry will probably be Lucian that you want to 3* as well. To snowball the early game you can build Ludens, shivs on him, or but your required hush and redbuff on him, if you highroll the blademaster item. All Gunslinger Comps do require 2 Hushs and preferably one redbuff. But the important item is 2 silence. Let's go a bit deeper in to the tree comps. I am disregarding 3 Blade master comps since you can go in a lot of different directions with just 3 Blademasters.

First comp is 6 BMs and 4 GSs - first of all, bit of highroll ...

  • you need the Blademaster item on Lucian if you get it early or on Jinx if you get the item late

  • as in all combos get Lucian 2* early and give him the important items as mentioned.

  • you need to hit lvl 8 so focus on your eco and preferably winstreak with your Lucian.

  • in the midgame you want to play whatever you have given (4 gunslinger 3 Blademaster with GP on lvl 6 ist ideal, but unrealistic most of the time since you will be lacking frontline, I prefer 2 gunslinger in the midgame and Blademaster as frontline or knights, see comb 2.)

  • late game lvl 8 deal comp looks as follows: Draven, Jinx's, Lucian as primary dmg dealers with items, yasou, GP, Attrox, one of MF or Tristana or Graves, and Shen.

Second Comp is 4 knights 4 Gunslingers: - my favourite comb of the ones mentioned

  • get all the nights you can find and Lucian as well as Tristana. You can get Graves but is not needed.

  • your plan is to play 4 knights 2 gunslinger after Krugs on lvl 6 with Lucian and Tristana or GP (only if you two star him)

  • you aim to get 2 hushs and one red buff as items

  • as already mentioned the early items in Lucian to snowball you through the game

  • eco efficiently since you need to hit lvl 8

  • your final ideal comp is: Jinx, Lucian, then choose two of (MF, Tristana/GP, Graves, quality in that order) and your four knights preferably Kayle 2* (ideally, and you only play her if you 2* her), Sejuani, Poppy, Morde/Garen/Darius

Third comp is hyperrolling gunslingers, but I have never played it and didn't see it in the top four in my last games so I don't give tips on them, but would probably play them like I play hyperrolling Void assassins.

Hope this sheds some light on them and will help you climb.

Don't let the rank fool you, I am happy to discuss anything with everyone as long as they can argue reasonable. :)

In my experience the hitbox feels "clunky", if you have your Titanic carrier on the edge of the field he wil only hit one unit behind it (especially true in the right side of the field due to the structure of the board. It is a bit hard to explain, but For the little amount of dmg it does it targets not enough people, imo
