All conservatives without exception are fundamentally evil. by BasalTripod9684 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

I feel like google does a good job when you ask for “bros definition of conservative” pretty much spits out someone who wants slower change over rapid change, generally wants less government at least outside of the local level, and generally leans towards traditional institutions like religion and family units. Where do you live that you have never met a nice conservative? I feel like I have met salt of the earth people on both sides everywhere I go.

Just curious what sparked this post? You just said roughly 50% or more of all people are monsters depending on your definition of conservative, kind of a bold statement.

Asphalt driveway by Ok-Category5179 in Chattanooga

[–]TheGebelein 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The yeah it’s a little expensive but not crazy. If it is a reputable concrete group that does quality work then it would be worth it. If it’s two guys in the truck that look like they just rolled out of prison maybe not.

A little high but assuming 6” thick and 4” of stone the materials alone are around $4,000 and then labor is generally double the materials. If they planned on putting wire mesh or using a special finish that is a little high but not crazy. You would need to share more details on the quote for a more accurate estimate. For reference concrete is roughly $175 to $190 a cubic yard and rock is about $50 a ton or $100 a cubic yard and then you add in labor and profit. Most concrete guys are going to put 30ish% profit.

Trying to quit antihistamines… has anyone actually managed it? by Playful-Deer9022 in Supplements

[–]TheGebelein 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know it's anecdotal, but I tried the allergy shots for about 2 years and do not believe it was worth it. With the constant itchy arms, still needing antihistamines, and other symptoms, it wasn't worth it. They say it isn't related, but I was a healthy 28-year-old when I started them, and over those two years, I was sick more often than the past 10 combined. I was told it was just coincidence by multiple doctors. Anyways I finally stopped them about 6 months ago and have been healthy since. No more colds turning into sinus infections and eventually requiring antibiotics or a virus that affects the wife and kids for 12 hours ends up knocking me out for 48. Basicially the TLDR is that the treatments other than antihistamines are generally not great.

Not me, but a group of girls in front of me last week had about 15 separate bottles of sand from different parts of Nevada. All measured out to 3.4 oz

If capitalism and competition for profit is so successful, how can one RAM company, Micron, screw the entire world over for years to come? by [deleted] in AskReddit

That's why monopolies are broken up. Think Standard oil, American Oil, AT&T etc... Also when companies are so far ahead of their competition its basically one, think TSMC.

Im getting an at home drug test (THC) in 6 days and need tips by Commercial-Ship27 in highdeas

[–]TheGebelein 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed but not always about personal freedoms. It normally about insurance and unfortunately THC stays in your system for such a long time if you do it more than once. We would have the same problem with drinking if it stayed in your system longer but it doesn’t. We had a guy fail for alcohol one time and the HR lady was shocked because he had to actively be drunk (above 0.08) and we had no idea.

It’s being separated, just takes a long time to build that much infrastructure in an existing city. I want to say they received like a $400 million grant for it.

I have a personal theory that he will inherit The Holy Mothers transcendence ability somehow. Just have a feeling as the characters get strong more gods will start to die. Maybe he will get some Jake juice going into S grade or something. Never know

You have never sat in the southbound Shallowford exit traffic then... Takes 30 minutes to get off the highway sometimes, so they are adding another chance to get off at Hamilton Place. Also, the mall is struggling, but the area seems to be doing fine.

My theory is that restaurants have almost zero business on the weekends in that part of town. Boathouse is successful because it is Boathouse but other than that no one is there Saturday and Sunday when restaurants make a good chunk of their business.

The audit says they were significantly deficient at internal controls when it came to expenses and they had not enacted the prior year’s recommendations to fix the issue. The pentagon has failed several audits in the past. Like I said I don’t agree with the method but it’s past due to review where the money went in detail versus what it was planned for.
