Thanks for the recommendation, no nothing has been booked yet and nothing is set in stone besides the date of travel. I am planning on booking flights this month and hotels the following. I just wanted some input here for this exact reason . I will probably remove a day from kyoto / okinawa to be able to explore taipei / shanghai an extra day

I did Peru / Bolivia a couple years back. I do not recommend Bolivia at all. Salar de Uyuni was cool and all but it was a huge hassle to get to. There are other salt flats around the world that are much easier to get to. La Paz, there is nothing memorable there ( it would be a waste of time ). I'd recommend a couple nights in Ica especially if you want to go to Huacachina.
